As plannedin the Company“Safe Production Month” activities, in the afternoon of June 26 at Technology Hall of Quangang Plant, president Mr. Joost Emmen delivered a vivid and informative safe production lecture themed on “Safety Leadership in Legal Responsibility” combined with the Company’s safe production situations. Vice president Mr. Lin Xuattended the training.

Mr. Joost Emmenexplained safety leadership in terms of duties, rights, obligations and high-risk operations.

He commented that we must establish the“red line” awareness,and regard safety as the first responsibility. Safety leadership was a powerful tool to fulfill safety responsibility. Good safety leadership not only improve understanding of safety behaviors, but also reduce the risks of operations.

He emphasized that safety leadership had nothing to do with position, identity and experience. No matter employees or contractors, everyone coulddemonstrate safety leadership behaviors. We shall follow operating procedures, and encourage people around us to identify and manage risks, therefore protect ourselves and others.

He commented that safety was not only legal requirements but also human morality, andrequiredthe whole organization to work together in sharing good safety leadership behaviors and build FREPto a safe workplace.

Mr. Kang Zhanfeng, an expert from Quangang District Emergency Management Bureau, explained the legal liabilities for incidents specified in the “Production Safety Incidents Emergency Regulations” and “Law of PRC on Work Safety”.

About 160 employees including departments responsible people, business team managers, relevant disciplines, representatives of employees and contractors attended the training. (Zhang Lei)
