From April 22^nd to 24^th, Sinopec launched the first time equipment inspection to FREP. Mr. Jin Qiang, team lead of the 6^th team of Sinopec Equipment Inspection for petrochemical segment and the deputy general manager of Shanghai Petrochemical Company, Mr. Ren Gang, deputy team lead and the section director in Sinopec Refining Department, members of the inspection team, and FREP OOP attended the kick-off meeting and accompanied the inspection.

At the kick-off meeting, Mr. Jin Qiang conveyed the spirit of the speech made by Sinopec Group Company general manager, deputy secretary of Sinopec Group Party Committee and Sinopec president Mr. Ma Yongsheng on this equipment inspection. He called for unified thinking and full understanding of THE necessity and urgency to strengthen equipment management under the new situation. He expected the inspection to be conducted in a problem-oriented and down-to-earth manner to ensure the effectiveness.

President Mr. Joost Emmen commented that first we shall attach great importance to fully understand the significance of the inspection. Second, we shall keep an open mind, humbly ask for advice, learn from the inspection and be cooperative. Third we shall spare no effort to provide logistics support to the inspection team to enable the experts to work at their best.

From April 22^nd to 24^th, the inspection team divided into 11 discipline/ management groups including comprehensive management, rotating equipment, special equipment, electrical, instrument and control, heating furnace, boiler, storage tank, industrial water, safety and measurement management, and conducted equipment inspections by inspecting at site, reviewing documents, checking information system, watching emergency maintenance drill and exchanging opinions, etc.

In the morning of April 24^th, the 6^th team of Sinopec Equipment Inspection for petrochemical segment concluded the inspection to FREP and held the review meeting.

Mr. Jin Qiang gave an overall comment on the inspection from three aspects including equipment management highlights, existing problems and suggestions. He recognized the good practices of FREP in equipment management. First, the establishment and operation of Reliability System (RS); second, development and application of new technologies and equipment; third, good and effective equipment maintenance and repair strategies. At the same time, he pointed out improvement opportunities in equipment discipline management and the basic work.

Mr. Jin Qiang provided recommendations to the rectification of the existing problems, including ensure effective implementation of equipment management regulations, consolidate equipment management foundation, further enhance equipment discipline management; strengthen training to equipment relevant personnel, enhance management over contractors, thus to improve equipment management.

Vice President Mr. Zhao Tianxing commented on implementing the rectification measures put forward by the inspection team and carrying out follow-up actions. He required that: First, we shall strengthen the sense of responsibility and sense of mission, benchmark with Sinopec enterprises. Second, we shall earnestly rectify the problems identified during the inspection. Third, we shall further leverage and integrate the good traditions of equipment management in Sinopec and the advanced management concepts in foreign shareholders, to create an equipment management model featured by the joint venture.
