The Company Held "I Want Safety" Action Team Kick-off Meeting


In the morning of March 18th, the “I Want Safety” action team kick-off meeting was held in the emergency command center meeting room in CCR2.

OOP members Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing were present at the meeting, responsible people from relevant departments and BT managers attended the meeting. At the same time, Parallel sessions were set up through video conference facilities respectively in Quanzhou office building, EOEG BT and Terminal BT. The meeting was chaired by vice president Mr. Lin Xu.

The objective was to create safety culture and atmosphere in the Company, encourage employees, including contractors’ employees, to be determined to protect the safety of everyone (self and others). In this atmosphere, people intervene and ask question, promote learning and growth as a habit, thusly mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of “I Want Safety”.

OOP emphasized that launching of the “I Want Safety” action was a major deployment for promoting long-term safe production. In order to guide and enhance safety culture development, the Company set up a cross-functional safety action team to promote safety culture, strengthen red line awareness, implement safety responsibility, promote legal governance, deepen special rectification and innovate management thinking to further improve the ability of risk management and control, continuously enhance safety awareness and skills of all employees, improve safety management in all aspects, strenghten safe production base and strive to achieve the essential safety of safe production.

In the same morning, the “I Want Safety” action team organized a meeting to deploy relevant action plans.

It was reported that the “I Want Safety” action team was composed of the employees from different departments and levels in the organization. The team members were assigned with full-time or part-time jobs respectively, working under the leadership of two part-time general managers, and report to OOP.

The Action Team would coach each department/ BT to develop a common approach and promote consistent implementation of the Action Plans, thus to strengthen safety culture of the company, targeting on sustainable and effective acts at frontline through appropriate safety leadership practices across BTs and departments.
