On February 29, Zhang Yigong, Secretary of the Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Municipal People’s Congress, led a team to the Company for a survey. Zhang Xiguo, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Company, met with Zhang Yigong and his delegate and held a discussion for exchange of ideas. Xiao Hanhui, Chairman of the Quanzhou Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Zhou Xiaohua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-General, and Lin Xu, VP of the Company, participated in the discussion.

Zhang Yigong listened to the report on the Company's production and operation, 2024 TA, and planning work for future development, fully affirmed the Company’s development results, and thanked FREP for its contribution to the development of Quanzhou on behalf of the city's four leadership teams. As he pointed out, for a long time, FREP has fully demonstrated the advantages of leading petrochemical enterprises and made solid steps in capacity enhancement, chain extension, green development and sustainable development, etc., growing into a leading refining and chemical integration enterprise in China, and playing a positive role in serving the high-quality development of the local area.

Zhang Yigong emphasized that FREP’s 2024 TA would be featured with heavy tasks, tight schedule, and huge pressure, involving a wide range. Nearly 20,000 people are expected to participate in it, so safety is the first priority, and the red bottom line must not be touched. Quanzhou City and Quangang District should set up dedicated teams to coordinate and solve problems related to the TA, to ensure the smooth progress of the TA.

Zhang Yigong said that Quanzhou attaches great importance to the development of the petrochemical industry, regards North Wing as the top priority of the industrial layout, specifically sets up a petrochemical industry headquarters, to coordinate services nearby, strengthen the guarantee of factors, and promote the accelerated construction of major petrochemical projects. At present, all departments at all levels in the city will continue to strengthen work scheduling, inherit and carry forward the excellent style of "implementing four grassroots activities", focus on "vigorously advancing economy and development", ensure the service guarantee in the frontline of the project and the construction site in advance, constantly optimize the business environment, and boost the "good start and whole-year good performance" of the enterprise. He hopes that FREP will actively integrate into the overall development of Quanzhou, accelerate the promotion of major refining and chemical projects, continue to strengthen, supplement and extend the chain, and continue to increase capital and expand production, and strictly grasp the production safety, ecological and environmental protection, etc., and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a petrochemical industry cluster valued at a trillion RMB in the city.

Zhang Xiguo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government for their long-term care and support. He said that FREP strictly abided by and implemented the national laws and regulations, continuously strengthened HSE performance, enhanced delicacy management, and improved profit so as to achieve high-quality development while ensuring safety and stable operation.

Zhang Xiguo said that as a leading enterprise in Fujian’s petrochemical industry, FERP would thoroughly implement the guiding principles as laid out in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speeches delivered when he visited FPCL during his work in Fujian, and the congratulatory letter congratulating the completion and commissioning of the Fujian Integrated Refining & Ethylene Project, fully support and integrate itself into the implementation of Quanzhou City’s development strategy and jointly create a new landscape of win-win cooperation between the locality and the Company and make due contributions to promoting the prosperity and development of Quanzhou’s economy.
