The Company Held Theme Education Mobilization and Deployment Meeting on Learning and Implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era

On April 20, the Company held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the Company's theme education on learning and implementing general secretary Xi Jinping’s socialist thought with Chinese characteristics for the new era. Lv Hongbing, lead of the 13^th Tour Guidance Group of Sinopec Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Xiangdong, secretary of the Party Committee and board chairman of the Company, as well as the lead of the Theme Education Steering Group, chaired the meeting and delivered a mobilization speech.

Li Zhiping, Deputy Lead of the 13^th Tour Guidance Group of Sinopec Group, and the Company management Zhao Tianxing, Zhang Xiguo, Lin Xu, Hong Xiaojiang, Yang Fei, Li Ji and Ding Hongbo attended the meeting.

 

Liu Xiangdong emphasized in his mobilization speech that:

First, we should improve political awareness, align the mindset and deeply understand the significance of carrying out the theme education. Deeply understanding and carrying out the theme education is an inevitable requirement for unifying the ideological will and actions of the entire Party, and always maintaining the strong cohesion and fighting capacity of the Party. Deeply understanding and carrying out the theme education is an inevitable requirement for promoting the entire Party to actively take on responsibilities and continuously achieve new development. Deeply understanding the theme education is an inevitable requirement for deepening the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party and leading the social revolution with the Party's self revolution.

Second, we should focus on the targets and requirements, implement key measures, and promote in-depth and effective implementation of the theme education up to high standard and high quality. We should firmly grasp the overall requirements. We should strengthen Party spirit in learning the thought, focus on implementation through learning the thought, and made new achievements through learning the thought. We should adhere to the targets and tasks. We should build a solid foundation with heart and soul, strengthen our character and loyalty, work hard and take on responsibilities bravely to promote development, practice the principle of serving the people, and establish the work style of integrity and devotion. We should solve outstanding issues fundamentally. Fully recognize the problems in the six aspects, i.e., theory learning, political quality, competence and ability, responsibility, work style, and integrity and self-discipline. We should focus on problems from the beginning, learn with questions, focus on problems in investigation, and make rectifications targeted at problems. We should devote ourselves to work and responsibilities, and carry out fundamental self analysis and self revolution. Fully implement key measures. Theory learning should be deeply rooted in the mind and heart, with firm faith and practices. Carry out investigation and research wholeheartedly, fundamentally and practically. Inspections and rectifications should be in-depth and concrete, promote development through hard work and proficiency, and establish effective/ practical/ normalized regulations and systems.

Third, we should strengthen organizational leadership, strengthen overall coordination, and ensure the effective and orderly progress of all tasks of the theme education. We should assign solid responsibilities and strengthen organizational leadership. The Party Committee of the Company established the Theme Education Steering Group and Office, and all member units should play a functional role in joint management and close cooperation and form a joint force. We should strengthen publicity and create a good atmosphere. We should deeply promote the requirements of the Party Central Committee's deployment, promote the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on the theme education, publicize the deployment of the Leading Party Members' Group of Sinopec Group and Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and the work arrangements of the Party Committee of the Company, demonstrate the unique practices, progress and results of the theme education of Party organizations at each level of the Company, continuously strengthen the momentum, achieve consensus, and work hard on preventing formalism. We should focus on the actual effect, predict in advance, and effectively prevent and resolutely overcome any probable formalism, and strive to achieve practical results and solve actual problems. We must not unconsciously engage in formalism while opposing formalism. We should integrate into the center and make overall arrangements. We must adhere to integrating into the center and serving the overall situation, combine implementation of the theme education with the decisions and deployment of the higher level organizations and the current work arranged by the Company, and effectively transform the enthusiasm and momentum stimulated by the theme education into practical achievements of high-quality development.

Liu Xiangdong emphasized that Party organizations at each level should formulate practical and feasible action plans based on the actual situation, and carry out the theme education up to high standards, strict requirements and high quality. The Theme Education Steering Group and Office of the Company should strengthen political awareness, organizational leadership and responsibility implementation and advance it in an orderly manner. Cadres at each level should enhance sense of responsibility and urgency, strengthen overall coordination, and carefully organize and implement. We should utilize the achievements of the theme education to promote reform and development, test the effectiveness of the theme education by the achievements of reform and development, effectively achieve "working hard on both the theme education and reform and development", and achieve solid theme education results and excellent work performance, so as to satisfy the higher-level organizations and the employees.

Lv Hongbing affirmed the achievements of the Company in recent years and put forward requirements for implementing all tasks of the theme education. He emphasized that:

First, we should improve our political awareness and promote implementation. We must have a profound understanding of the remarkable political, theoretical and practical significance of conducting the theme education, educate and guide Party members and cadres to align their thoughts and actions with the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches, and use general secretary Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era to consolidate the heart and forge the soul. We should further sort out, learn and implement the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and comments for the Company, consciously benchmark the advanced level and the standards, focus on promoting high-quality development, and strive to make new progress and results in implementing general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions.

Second, we must focus on the overall requirements and promote implementation. We should comprehensively grasp and accurately understand the overall requirements of "learning the thought, strengthening the Party spirit, emphasizing practice and creating new achievements", combine the theme education with focus on the center and serving the overall situation, and carefully plan and promote all work of the theme education to ensure effectiveness.

Third, we must pay close attention to the fundamental tasks and promote implementation. We should take the in-depth learning and implementation of general secretary Xi Jinping’s socialist thought with Chinese characteristics for the new era as the main thread, and focus on this main thread in all work arrangements, all promotion measures and all work requirements. We should push the theme education to become in-depth, practical and heartfelt, and work hard to achieve tangible results in forging the soul, improving wisdom, correcting the work style and promoting work through learning.

Fourth, we should promote implementation with focus on the detailed targets. We should adhere to combining target orientation with problem orientation, with specific targets as the driving force and problems as the starting point. In the process of formulating measures and promoting implementation, we should consciously benchmark the advanced level and high standards, rectify deviations in a timely manner, and make targeted and precise efforts to promote effective implementation of all tasks.

Fifth, we should focus on implementing key measures in a comprehensive way. We should combine learning and doing, integrate investigation and rectification, learn, investigate and rectify at the same time, further understand general secretary Xi Jinping’s worldview and methodology of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era precisely, highlight and focus on the key points, plan and advance comprehensively, and work hard solidly and effectively.
