On November 3, a group led by Lv Lianggong, a member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Group and Senior Vice President of Sinopec Corporation, visited FPCL for research. The Group visited the cadres and employees working on the frontline of production of FREP and Fujian Gulei Petrochemical, provided supervision and guidance on work safety, operation and management, project construction, "three basic" work and Party building work, listened to the work reports of the enterprises, and learnt in detail about implementation of the work deployment and theme action of Sinopec Group. It was expected that the Company's cadres and employees to thoroughly learn and implement the spirit of the 20^th CPC National Congress, implement the decisions and deployments of the Leading Party Members' Group of Sinopec Group, improve political awareness, earnestly implement work safety related measures, reinforce the work safety defense line, and drive high-quality development of the Company.

In the morning, accompanied by Liu Xiangdong, Chairman of the Company and Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhao Tianxing, General Manager of the Company and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and other Company management personnel, Lv Lianggong and his Group visited FREP in Huang Xiaobin Model Worker Safety Innovation Studio with great interest and learnt in detail about safety training and safety culture construction.

In the exhibition hall of FREP, the overall layout of the Refining and Ethylene Integrated Project and the production and operation of the Company were introduced to Lv Lianggong.

In the CCR of the production units, Lv Lianggong visited the frontline cadres and employees to learn in detail about the staffing, organizational structure and production and operation of Business Teams.

Lv Lianggong also visited the "Home of Party Members" of the Party Branch of Olefin Business Team, and learned in detail about the Party building, team building, talent training, shift team culture construction and other work of the primary level Party branch.

During the research in FREP, Lv Lianggong had a discussion with some cadre/ employee representatives of the Company and listened to the work report of FPCL.

In the afternoon, accompanied by Liu Xiangdong, Lv Lianggong and his group visited Fujian Gulei Petrochemical. In CCR, Lv Lianggong listened to the report on production and operation of Gulei Petrochemical made by Zhang Xiguo, Deputy General Manager of FPCL and President of Fujian Gulei Petrochemical. He affirmed the accomplishments in ensuring safe and stable production, and the results of turning losses to profit, and put forward expectations for accelerating EVA Unit construction and achieving one time successful startup up to high quality.

At the Ethylene Plant of the Chemical Division-I of Fujian Gulei Petrochemical, Lv Lianggong learnt in detail about current production and operation situations of the Plant, as well as the implementation of safety and environmental protection measures.

At the Terminal of Gulei Petrochemical, Lv Lianggong inspected the turnover capacity of the terminal and products lifting.

Lv Lianggong required that first we shall improve our political awareness. Cadres at all levels should bear the "big country" firmly in mind, take the lead in learning and implementing the spirit of the 20^th CPC National Congress, and well coordinate development and safety. We shall stand high and look far, pay close attention to market changes, optimize production and operation, "gain the upper hand" and take initiatives. We shall plan in advance, set exemplary role, keep strong sense of responsibility, comply with high standards and strict requirements, and study harder to continuously improve abilities.

Second, we shall work hard on production safety. Cadres at all levels should keep extending the scope of knowledge and improve their safety leadership. With stricter and more detail measures to implement production safety responsibility in each level, the whole organization shall be one mind on strictly managing safe and environmental production. We shall be just and stern to perform strict management and solve the long-standing problem of contractor safety management. More efforts shall be made on construction of information technology, to make full use of information technology and intelligent measures to improve operation management and safety management.

Third, we shall focus on talent cultivation. The Party Committee shall work hard on talent planning, and make efforts to improve the width and depth of the talents pool for key posts. Efforts shall be made to improve the ability of youth cadres and employees, with talents cultivation plan and training platform in place. We shall make good use of the good traditional tool of "three basic" work, and clearly define roles and responsibilities, with better demonstration of the role of the primary management, to facilitate team building and talent training to a new level.

Relevant leaders of the Safety Supervision Department, Refining Department, Chemical Department and other departments of the Sinopec Headquarters also participated in the research. (Xuanwen)
