On the morning of August 17, led by Li Guoqing, senior consultant of Fujian provincial government, A research group of Fujian Development and Reform Commission visited the company. Vice President Lin Xu welcomed Li Guoqing and the research group.

Li Guoqing briefly introduced the subject and significance of this research. He said that this research was mainly to go deep into key enterprises in the province, understand the current situation of petrochemical industry in the province and the issues in production, as well as the development planning, especially industrial chain configurations, so as to set the orientation for the development of petrochemical industry in Fujian Province.

Lin Xu welcomed Li Guoqing and his group. He said that FREP has been committed to refining and chemical integration and industrial chain optimization. The company comprehensively studied and formulated the 14^th Five-Year Development Plan, and focused on advancing the Steam Cracker Expansion Project and the Syngas to Acetic Acid Project to extend the industrial chain and continuously improve the core competitiveness of the company.

Chen Jinbiao, development planning manager of Technical & Planning Department, introduced main business operation of the company, shared the market supply and demand forecast, analyzed current issues of the company and surrounding competition situation, and reported on the overall planning strategy, necessity, advantages of the company and the early-stage work of preparation of feasibility study report for 1.2 MTA Steam Cracker Expansion and Downstream High-end New Material Industry Cluster Project.

At the meeting, the two sides also had in-depth exchanges on topics of concern such as production strategy, selection of industrial chain and process technology. Experts attending the meeting agreed that Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park should take FREP as the core, optimize configurations of industrial chain, improve product competitiveness and promote local economy development.

Relevant leaders of Quanzhou Development and Reform Commission, Quangang District and Petrochemical Industrial Park accompanied the research.
