The 2nd Round of Guidance from the Experts Group of Production Safety Committee Office the State Council for the Key Counties Concerning Hazardous Chemicals

In the morning of November 12, the seven-member expert group for the 2nd round guidance of service to key counties concerning hazardous chemicals from the Production Safety Committee Office of the State Council, led by the group lead Mr.Guo Xuesong, visited FREP for guidance and inspection. Company management Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing, attended the meeting.

President Joost Emmen welcomed the inspection group. He said that FREP shared the same goal with the inspection group, that is, safe operation. As a petrochemical enterprise, we should timely identify and handle hazards to realize production safety. The guidance from the inspection group provides us great learning opportunities to improve safety management of the company. He commented that the company would ensure good cooperation and arrange relevant people to support smooth progress of the inspection.

Mr. Guo Xuesong introduced the intent, significance, arrangement and expectations of the 2nd round expert guidance and service.

Vice President Mr. Lin Xu introduced the company overview and reported production safety work in terms of production safety responsibility system, safety education and training, potential hazards rectificaiton, safety supervision, safety performance improvement, etc.

In terms of the six disciplines, i.e., safety management, process inspection, equipment inspection, electrical and instrument, design and plot plan, emergency and fire-fighting, the inspection group reviewed and checked the regulations, documents and records of the company in detail against the checklists. They also inspected the site safety production in all areas and all aspects.

Personnel from Quanzhou Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quangang District Emergency Management Bureau and relevant departments of the company accompanied the inspection. (Zhang Lei)
