SEG Vice Chairman Mr. Lu Dong Visited the Company


In the morning of September 6th, Mr. Lu Dong, vice chairman and executive director of SEG, and Mr. Tang Mingzhi, deputy general manager of SNEI, visited the Company.

President Mr. Joost Emmen met with Mr. Lu Dong and his delegation, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on construction safety and turnaround.

Mr. Joost Emmen introduced the Company’s safety production and the advanced management experience and practices introduced from shareholders. He said that FREP is committed to be a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness. Through continuously integrate and learn good management experience from shareholders, the Company is improving management level to international standard. While pursuing optimal operation, the Company attaching great importance to the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and the improvement of safety, health and environmental performance. Through OIMS IA, incident investigation, root cause analysis and incident learning, management safety walkabout, LMRA, SAI, contractor buddy manager system and other activities, the Company strengthened the safety awareness of employees and contractors, and established a good situation of engaging the whole organization in j safety production management.

Mr. Joost Emmen also shared the preparation for 2018 turnaround, and emphasized the importance of safety, environmental protection and quality of the turnaround. He hoped SEG to provide strong support, and work together with FREP targeting on common objectives.

Mr. Lu Dong fully recognized FREP’s production and operation, as well as the great importance FREP attached to safety, and highly valued the company spirit of “Teamwork and Pursuit of Excellence”. He said that FREP realized good performance under the joint efforts of the management led by President Mr. Joost Emmen. FREP put safety as top priority, not only responsible for employees’ safety, but also create a good working environment for construction/ maintenance contractors; meanwhile, FREP's best practices such as “hand in hand” and “LMRA” also provided good opportunities for contractors to learn from and improve safety performance.

Mr. Lu Dong expressed that the 2018 turnaround of FREP has big workload and influence, which is critical for stable operation of the next 5-year turnaround circle. According to the turnaround targets, SEG would coordinate internally, mobilize the maintenance team and pay attention to the connection of each link. All the contractors participating the turnaround would strengthen field services and maintenance construction, to complete maintenance tasks in a safe, green, efficient and quality manner.
