On October 26^th, Sinopec Group announced the adjustments to the leadership team of FPCL and Gulei Petrochemical Company at FPCL Cadres Video Conference. Mr. Ling Yiqun, deputy general manager of Sinopec Group and senior vice president of the Sinopec, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Mr. Li Chengfeng, director of Sinopec Chemical Department, presided over the meeting. Mr. Zhang Shijiang, deputy director of HR Department of Sinopec Group, announced the adjustment documents of the cadres.

According to the needs of work, Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Sinopec Group Party Committee jointly decided to appoint Mr. Gu Yuefeng as the secretary of Party Committee of FPCL and FREP. He would still serve as chairman of FPCL and FREP, and vice chairman of Fujian Gulei Petrochemical Company. He would not serve as general manager of FPCL; Mr. Liu Xiangdong would serve as the deputy secretary of Party Committee, director and general manager of FPCL, deputy secretary of Party Committee, director of FREP, and would not serve as general manager of Gulei Refining and Chemical Integrated Project Department and president of Fujian Gulei Company; Mr. Zhang Xiguo would serve as member of Party Committee of FPCL and FREP, Deputy General Manager of FPCL (as principal management in large-scale enterprise), general manager of Gulei Refining and Chemical Integrated Project Department and president of Fujian Gulei Company; Mr. Wu Defei as director of FPCL; Mr. Dai Liqi as director of FREP; Mr. Zhang Riyong would not serves as director of FPCL.

Mr. Ling Yiqun introduced the consideration for the adjustments in his speech. He fully recognized FPCL performance in recent years in all respects, and put forward five requirements for the next step.

First, to grasp the general trend, improve the position, and earnestly enhance the confidence and determination of developing the Company. In accordance with the strategic plans of “Two 3-years” and “Two decades” of Sinopec Group, carefully prepare the development roadmap and create core competitiveness, thus to win in the reconstruction of the energy layout and seize the oppotunities.

Second, to be strict and work in detail, resolutely defend safety and environment protection, strictly implement safety and environmental protection responsibilities, eliminate potential hazards and prevent incidents.

Third, to deepen reforming, strengthen management, improve business operation, continue to deepen market-oriented mechanism, enhance corporate governance capabilities, and comprehensively consolidate the “Three Basics” work.

Fourth, to unite as one, enhance cohesion, keep doing a good job in building the leadership team, and work as a “responsible person” to maintain unity, a “leader” in real practice and solid work, and a “conformist” with self-discipline.

Fifth, to adhere to the strict management of the Party in an all-round way, fully promote the transformation of corporate political superiority into a development advantage, take a strong responsibility to strengthen the Party building, promote integration of Party building and enterprise core work, adhere to pragmatism for the people, and maintain corporate harmony and stability.

Mr. Gu Yuefeng said in his speech that he would firmly support the decision of Sinopec Group Party Committee and Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and resolutely obey the arrangement. To persist in learning and upgrading, strengthen ideals and convictions, arm the minds, guide practice, and promote work with Mr. Xi Jinping’s socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era; to persist in building the team and focus on the overall function; to persist in strengthening Party building in an all-round way, improve Party building quality, deepen the integration of Party building and business; to persist in pursuing integrity and self-discipline, and always put discipline and rules in the forefront; to observe overall situation and doing practical work, and keep promoting high-quality development of the enterprise in the new era to make new accomplishments.

Mr. Liu Xiangdong said in his speech that he would firmly support and obey the organization’s arrangements. It was necessary to strengthen the study of political theory, improve political positions, and more consciously turn the original aspiration and missions of the Party into the practical actions “love China, revitalize petrochemical industry” and “work for a better life”; strengthen the unity and cooperation of the leadership team, create “harmonious leadership team” of solidarity, harmony and compliance; to take a lead in self-discipline and perform “dual responsibilities in one post”; to fulfill duties properly, strive to create a first-class refining and chemical enterprise, and accelerate the construction of a long-term business for Sinopec as a world-class energy and chemical company with due contributions.

Mr. Zhang Xiguo said in his speech that he would resolutely obey the organization’s arrangements, keep strengthening learning, and constantly improve his technical and management level; quickly change his role, focus on integration, and keep doing a good job in engineering construction, production preparation, corporate governance and team building. He would be strict with himself, take the lead in diligence and integrity, and fulfill “dual responsibilities in one post” to jointly create an atmosphere of clean and honest business.

The management personnel of FPCL, Mr. Yang Hongbin, Mr. Hu Hongye, Madam Li Siyang, Mr. Chen Feishan, and Mr. Lin Xu, attended the meeting together with nearly 60 middle-level management. (Text/Han Lin Picture/ Suo Dan)
