In the past few days, the sun was scorching and hot waves were rolling. The heat was testing the vast majority of employees sticking to the front line. In the morning of July 10^th, the Company management Mr. Gu Yuefeng, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Zhao Tianxing led all the staff of P&U Dept. went to the production site by two groups, and distributed sunstroke prevention supplies to ensure the safety of front-line employees in summer with great respect.

Mr. Gu Yuefeng and Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf visited product quality center, Fitter Group, comprehensive maintenance group, Mechanical Dept., fire brigade, CCR1, Offsites BT and Terminals BT to distribute sunstroke prevention supplies to hard-working staff and to extend gratitude for their hard work and contribution to the Company's continuous innovation and profit.

In CCR1, Mr. Gu Yuefeng and Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf brought the supplies to the front-line staff and appreciated them for their hard work for the safe and stable production of the Company. They talked with employees in Fuels-2 BT and Aromatics BT, and inquired in detail about the unit production.

Mr. Gu Yuefeng said that the current market situation was still severe, so we should not only to pay attention to safe and stable production, but also focus on the external market fluctuations and follow the market situation. At the same time, as the government authorities have increasing requirements on safety and environmental protection, we must strictly follow national laws and regulations, and made scientific/ orderly adjustment to production and operation.

In CCR at LYW Terminal, Mr. Gu Yuefeng and Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf inquired the Terminals BT about fighting against typhoon “Maria” and flood control. Learned that the 100KT “Governor” oil ship berthed at QLS Terminal for the first time had been successfully docked and unloaded, leaving the port before the typhoon arrived. They fully recognized their work and pointed out that the successful berthing of the 100KT oil ship at QLS Terminal was of great significance to the integration of terminal resources and the further dredging of import/ export channels for raw materials and products of the Company.

Mr. Gu Yuefeng and Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf also learnt about the work and living conditions of the employees, advised them of heat prevention and taking care of their health, required the team to support and provide a good working environment for employees.

Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Zhao Tianxing visited the electrical operation building, polyethylene BT and olefin BT field operator rooms, CCR2, Engineer building and EOEG unit site to send supplies to the staff who adhered to their posts, to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone working at high temperature, to ensure the smooth operation of the Company's production, and to require the employees to enhance safety awareness, arrange work hours reasonably, replenish water in time and take care of themselves. In view of the coming super typhoon “Maria”, they also inquired about the implementation of flood control measures, required the business teams/ groups to seriously identify and timely solve potential hazards, strengthen the work force in flood season, prepare emergency supplies, to ensure that there was no risk.

In PE field operator room, Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Zhao Tianxing carefully learnt the new product development progress of PO BT. Learned that young employees had become the main force of the business team, they praised the young employees for their work and encouraged them to think more and study hard, and consult the elder employees modestly, and contribute to the Company development.

Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Zhao Tianxing congratulated Olefin BT on overcoming difficulties, stabilizing high load production and realizing ethylene production exceeding 600KT in half a year. They also advised the business team to inspect and operate the unit carefully at the end phase of operation cycle, to enhance operation reliability, to tap the potential of the unit in depth and to create greater profit.

For each place they visited, the Company management would shake hands with the employees, and appreciated them for their hard work at high temperature. They also advised the employees take good care of their health while doing a good job to prevent heat stroke.

They required each department, business team and group for heatstroke prevention in the high temperature season, always putting safe production at the first place. Especially since this year, the whole Company has been sparing no effort, pioneering and enterprising to maintain good economic benefits in the first half of year. At present, a half year has gone, the task is still difficult, especially the turnaround at the end of the year. We must always stay alert to safe production and work hard at the site to achieve safe and orderly production and ensure the smooth completion of annual targets and atasks.

The visit brought a refreshing coolness to the front-line staff, greatly inspired the morale of employees. All the staff expressed that they would conscientiously realize safe production on their posts, to ensure safe and stable operation of the unit and contribute to the completion of the Company's annual targets and tasks.

The Company Labor Union sent chrysanthemum tea, wheat tea, Wong Lo Kat and other supplies to the front-line employees. Summer labor protection and heat prevention work was carried on orderly, which provided the Company staff with a safe and cool summer. (Xiao Wanyuan, Zhang Lei)
