New ideas for Innovation in 2018


On January 17th, the annual working meeting of the Company’s Innovation Studio was held in Quangang office building. Mr. Yang Hongbin, the deputy secretary of Party Committee, secretary of Discipline Committee and chairman of Labor Union was present at the meeting. Management of Process Department, HSE Department, Party & Union Department and relative Business Teams, members of Employee Innovation Studio and Zhang Zhaohong Labor Model Innovation Studio and Business Teams’ representatives attended the meeting.

Mr. Wu Liangjiang, the facilitator of the Company Employee Innovation Studio, summarized the main achievements of the studio in 2017, including the intelligent operator rounds, site standardized management and heating furnace oil burning automation, and shared the work plan for 2018.

Mr. Zhang Zhaohong, the facilitator of Zhang Zhaohong Labor Model Innovation Studio, gave a detailed introduction in achievements of innovation and profitability, 2018 work plan, and the mid-long-term planning. He said that in the future, the studio would strengthen communication with government authorities and universities, and give full play to the advantages of “production, study and research” to develop the studio into an innovation incubator base.

At the meeting, Mr. Yang Hongbin recognized the achievements made by the studios over the year. He said that, with the joint efforts of all the staff in studios, top priorities were given to the urgent tasks of production during the innovation, the studios accomplished a lot including the intelligent operator rounds, site standardized management, and heating furnace oil burning automation.

He commented that not only the management cared about innovation, and highly appraised the changes brought by the innovation to the production and operation, but also the Fujian Federation of Trade Unions also included the innovation as one of the key tasks for future work. We shall engage all departments in the Company in innovation, and create a positive atmosphere for innovation ideas, innovation work and innovation competition in the Company, which would contribute to continuous innovation and profit improvement. He also shared the spirit of instructions made by Mr. Zhang Guangmin, chairman of Fujian Federation of Trade Unions, during his visit to the Labor Model Innovation Studio at the beginning of the New Year, and the experience of participating the 5th plenary session of the 13th Congress (enlarged) of Fujian Federation of Trade Unions.

In respect of the Company’s innovation work, Mr. Yang Hongbin put forward five requirements: first, innovation should focus on the production and management, serving for the overall development of the Company; second, innovative ideas and applications of new technology and new equipment should be enhanced to remove the bottleneck of long-time operation; third, innovation should be carried out based on the actual production and operation situation and be realistic and pragmatic; fourth, the advantages of studios in professionals and strength should be brought into play and the cultivation of innovative talents should be strengthened by “apprentice mechanism”; fifth, the publicity of innovative mindset should be promoted to engage more people in innovation.

Mr. Kang Qingshan, Mr. Lin Bin and Mr. Xie Yi, the heads of departments, shared their recommendations and suggestions on the implementation of innovation work.

During the discussion, the innovation studio members and Business Teams’ representatives shared their experiences in innovation and the plan for next step. And expressed their resolution to conscientiously carry out the spirit of innovation, including publicizing innovation, engaging more people in innovation, identifying more innovation ideas, solving difficult production problems and contributing to quality and efficiency improvement of the Company.
