Saying goodbye to 2016 and stepping into 2017, welcome the New Year by long distance running…..

In the morning of January 7^th, 1356 employees from FPCL, FREP, FLG, Fujian Rubber, Fuyuan and Ruisheng participated in the 13^th New Year Group Long Distance Running to welcome advent of New Year by happy running.

New Year Long Distance Running is a traditional program of Fulian Group with aim to lift employees’ quality, enrich the cultural life of employees, motivate employees and their family members to be united and strive in the New Year, to contribute their wisdom and strength for Company in achieving leap-frog development and build a beautiful and happy home.

During the warm-up before the competition, the sportsmen and women wore sports clothes in different colors and were ready to go at the sports ground of the living area. One participant said, “I hope more and more people would join the running sports and wish FPCL and FREP would be more and more prosperous and grow bigger and bigger in the new year.”

Mr. Chen Xiaobo the Company Party secretary remarked that there had been 12 events for the once a year long distance running titled “embracing the New Year, celebrating the company anniversary, assisting development and facilitating harmony”. In the last 12 years we had been united and striving and realized the 2^nd leap-frog development of Big Fulian Group, especially in 2016, FREP had achieved the best profit; Fujian Gulei Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was officially unveiled, and the new journey of the 3^rd leap-frog development of Big Fulian Group is starting now, let’s strive and win toward our goal of fighting as led by the new management of the Company and party committee, wish a better and happier tomorrow for Big Fulian.

Then Mr. Liu Xiangdong, the Deputy General Manager of FPCL and the General Manager of Gulei RCI Project announced: “Start of the 13^th FREP New Year Group Long Distance Running!”

At 9:30am, with the sound of starting gun, management personnel of FPCL and FREP i.e. Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Liu Xiangdong, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Yang Hongbin, Mr. Liu Yanchang, Mr. Hu Hongye and Mr. Chen Feishan led the way to start from the sports ground as leading runners of the long distance runner team thus unveiled the new year running. 30 delegation teams of the employees of FPCL, FREP, FLG, Fujian Rubber, Fuyuan and Ruisheng departed consecutively to run from the sports ground toward Yifeng East Road and the whole route was 8km.

Along the way, the employee family members and the passersby voluntarily shouted and encouraged the runners. Sunshine was on everyone’s face, sweat was shining on their foreheads. The sportsmen and women ran upbeat as led by the forerunners to demonstrate the sound spiritual style of company employees.

Eventually Mr. Wang Guofeng from Offsites BT of Process Department was the first one to finish at 25’56”, he told the reporter excitedly: “I participated the New Year group long distance running of the Company in every year, and fully enjoy the joy of challenging myself and release the passion. In New Year we are on the new journey, and I’d like to run with passion and vigor as well as the working spirit, and be committed to the job in the New Year with healthier body and fuller spirit.”  

The delegation teams of Firefighting Group of FREP HSE Department, FREP Process Department, Ruisheng Co., FREP Mechanical Department, FREP Technical & Planning Department, Fuyuan Co., Minnan Hospital, FPCL, FREP Olefin BT and Fujian Rubber Co. obtained the group champions of top 10 respectively, and the organizing awards and sports ethical/ style awards were also granted. （Xiao Wanyuan）
