On May 21^st, the Research Group from Fujian Ecology and Environment Department, under the leadership of Director Mr. Xiao Yuquan and Deputy Director Mr. Wei Keyu from Fujian Provincial Ecology and Environment Emergency Response and Incident Investigation Center, visited the Company for research and supervision. The research and supervision was focusing on the special action for potential hazards inspection and rectification for hazardous chemicals.

The research group visited Olefin BT and the hazardous wastes temporary storage warehouse, spot checked the progress of self-inspections and rectifications of the Company, and learnt about the Company's safe production work by site survey, materials review and employees interviews.

The research group had a discussion meeting with Company management. Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing presented at the meeting. Mr. Lin Xu reported the Company's work on inspection and rectification of potential hazards of hazardous chemicals.

The meeting focused on researching the progress of the special action on inspection and rectification of potential hazards of hazardous chemicals, analyzed the existing problems in safe production of hazardous chemicals and discussed the direction for next step.

The research group emphasized that the responsibility for safe production was paramount. Enterprise must fulfill its primary responsibility in safe production, and carry out comprehensive inspections and rectification against safety potential hazards in accordance with the deployments of state/ provincial government, and effectively improve safe production management in the enterprise.

The Company management required all departments and BTs to pay high attention to the problems, comments, suggestions and requirements put forward by the research group, promptly rectify and take strong measures to strengthen management, make more efforts on controlling the source of the problems, perform safe production primary responsibility in all departments, proactively carry out special rectification actions and safety publicity and education, improve potential hazards inspection/ rectification system and risk prevention and control system, strive to improve overall safety management of the Company, and maintain  the good momentum of safe production.

Leaders from Quanzhou Ecology and Environment Department and Quanzhou Emergency Management Department, management personnel from FREP Process Department, Mechanical Department, Technical & Planning Department, HSE Department, Supply & Distribution Department Dept. and relevant personnel attended the discussion and accompanied the research.
