On March 14^th, Mr. Dai Wenpeng, Deputy Director and Inspector of Fujian Provincial Coal Mine Safety Administration, led the safety production and fire inspection/ assessment team of Fujian Safety Production Committee to visit FREP for inspection.

President Mr. Joost Emmen, Vice President Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Vice President Mr. Lin Xu and Vice President Mr. Zhao Tianxing attended the briefing meeting.

Mr. Dai Wenpeng commented that conducting safety production and fire control assessment is a normalized and systematic measure for Fujian Provincial Committee of CPC and Fujian Provincial People’s Government to strengthening safety production and fire control, and its fundamental purpose was to thoroughly implement the deployments/ requirements for preventing and solving major safety risks, so as to further strengthen safety production and fire control. It was expected that the assessment would play a role as a booster in supervising and controlling the overall improvement of safety work management, strengthening implementation of procedures and control of risks, preventing and reducing production safety incidents.

He emphasized that enterprises should not only improve safety culture, but also fulfill their safety responsibilities, strengthen communication and cooperation with local government authorities, maintain good relationship between enterprises and relevant government authorities to gain their understanding, support and guidance.

He hoped that FREP would, taking the opportunity of this field inspection, according to the problems identified during the inspection, carry out a comprehensive inspection on production safety and fire control work, strictly implement risk control responsibilities and measures, effectively remove potential safety hazards and prevent occurrence of incidents.

Mr. Joost Emmen commented on FREP safety production and fire control work, and expressed that the company would follow up the findings of the inspection work comprehensively and seamlessly in whole process and with full efforts, draw inferences about other cases from the problems identified, analyze and summarize the learning, take immediate actions to rectify the problems, make more efforts on production safety and fire control, and continuously improve essential safety.

Mr. Lin Xu made a report on the company’s safety production work of 2018 at the meeting.

After the meeting, the inspection team reviewed documents and materials, and inspected the processing units of Fuels-1 BT and the LPG loading station of Offsites BT, learnt the situation of safety production and fire control work of the company.
