FREP Trade Union Held Commendation Meeting for “One-time Success of Flawless Startup” of Dry Gas Recovery Unit
On Nov. 13, FREP Trade Union held a commendation meeting for “one-time success of flawless startup” of Dry Gas Recovery Unit in the meeting room of new plant CCR. Yang Hongbin, Deputy Party Secretary, Secretary for Discipline Inspection Commission and Trade Union Chairman of the Company, He Qingdong, Director of PC&UO, Zhao Tianxing, General Manager of Process Department (Refining) and relevant personnel from Technical and Planning Department, Mechanical Department, HSE Department and Fuels-1 Business Team attended the meeting.
At the commendation meeting, Chairman Yang Hongbin spoke highly of the excellent shift teams and advanced individuals who stood out in the labor competition. He said, the “one-time success of flawless startup” of Dry Gas Recovery Unit was the result of concerted efforts by all members of Fuels-1 Business Team (BT), a historical breakthrough of Fuels-1 BT work and a new starting point. Successful commissioning of Dry Gas Recovery Unit played an important role in improving the Company’s profit. It was hoped that Process, Technical and Planning, Mechanical and HSE departments would carry forward team spirit and that operators would refine operation to make more contributions to the development of the Company.
The meeting commended Dry Gas Recovery Unit Feed Commissioning Leadership Team as “Excellent Organization” in the “one-time success of flawless startup” labor competition. Shift Teams 2# and 4# were “Excellent Shift Team” in the labor competition. 18 employees including Zhu Zhenwang were “Excellent Individual” out of the “one-time success of flawless startup” labor competition.
230KTA Dry Gas Recovery Unit is one of the Company’s major contributors to profit improvement. With refinery dry gas as the feedstock, this Unit follows the “like dissolves like” theory, uses etherified C4 as the adsorbent, adopts light cold oil adsorption method to remove methane, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc., recovers C2+ cuts, which served as fuel gas in the past, and sends these components to Ethylene Cracking Unit as feedstock. Rough estimate shows it will increase ethylene production by 70kt per annum, save cracking feed oil by approximately 240kta, significantly bring down ethylene production cost and improve energy utilization rate and reduce consumption.
