Quanzhou Mayor Kang Tao and Deputy Mayor Lin Wanming led relevant departments directly under the Municipal Government including Development and Reform, Environment, Fire Safety, Planning, etc. to visit FREP for survey on Nov. 23. FREP Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng, Vice Presidents Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Parut Chatikavanij and Operation General Manager Liu Yangchang kept accompanied with the delegation for survey.

President Gu Yuefeng reported on the overview of the Company’s production and management, pointed out issues that need concern and coordination from Municipal leaders and extended sincere thanks to Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government and relevant departments for their continued care and support for our company’s production, management, reform and development. He expressed that FREP would stand on Quanzhou, care about the development of Quanzhou, honor our social responsibility actively, commit to be an “excellent corporate citizen” and a good “neighbor”, continuously bring in quality projects and strive to benefit Quanzhou and contribute to society in return.

Mayor Kang Tao pointed out that petrochemical industry not only propped up the big picture of Quanzhou development, but also acted as a major strategic industry of the country and so it is of paramount importance. The construction and development of FREP made petrochemical industry one of the mainstay industries in Quanzhou; more importantly, it positively supported and gave impetus to the regional economic development. FREP work safety concerns the public safety and the vital interests of the people. Governments at all levels, relevant departments and petrochemical companies should raise work safety consciousness, strengthen work safety management and effectively ensure work safety of petrochemical enterprises in accordance with the deployment of Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.

Kang Tao reinforced that governments at all levels, departments and units should think from the perspective of overall interests, further improve the sense of responsibility and overall consciousness, practically do a good job in offering service, catch time to make and refine work plans, stress the key points, prioritize items based on urgency and criticality, implement plans on time and make sure petrochemical enterprises would develop in a safe environment-friendly and sustainable way.
