On the afternoon of Nov. 25, the Company’s Party Committee held “2015 Turnaround/Revamp Party and Youth League Members Commando Meritorious Competition Flag presentation Ceremony” in the maintenance site of the old plant area. Party Secretary Chen Xiaobo, PC&UO Director He Qingdong, Mechanical General Manager and Turnaround Manager Zhuang Xiaodong, Process Refining General Manager Zhao Tianxing and representatives of 17 Party and Youth League commandos were present at the ceremony.

Secretary Chen Xiaobo, on behalf of the Company’s Party Committee, presented flags to the representatives of the 17 Party and Youth League commandos one by one.

Zhou Shengjun, Process Fuels-2 Business Team Manager, took a solemn oath on behalf of all the Party members of commandos: be resolved to live up to the honorary title of “Commando”, carry forward the dauntless spirit to fight tough wars and work hard, shed sweat, be pioneer, and achieve the general target for shutdown turnaround/revamp – “safety, quality, efficiency and timeliness” by practical actions.

Party Secretary Chen Xiaobo delivered a speech brimming with enthusiasm, summoned up all Party members and Youth League members to fully play the exemplary and vanguard role of Party members and the role of new force and commando as Youth League members. Wherever there are difficulties, there are Party members and Youth League members. Let Party Badge and Youth League Badge sparkle in turnaround. Let Party Flag and Youth League Flag fly high over the turnaround/revamp work site.

FREP 2015 old plant turnaround/revamp lasted for 42 days when the task was arduous, schedule was tight and requirement was high. To carry forward the fine tradition of petroleum and petrochemical industry, mobilize and organize Party members and Youth League members to fully carry forward the spirit of “particularly able to endure hardship, particularly able to fight, particularly able to dedicate, particularly able to study, particularly able to create”. During turnaround/revamp, we need to create a vibrant scene where everyone goes all out and everyone competes to make contributions to the full success of turnaround. The Company’s Party Committee decided to launch Party members and Youth League Commando Meritorious Competition. Themed “shed sweat, be pioneer and make new contributions during turnaround/ revamp”, the competition fully represents “compete safety, compete innovation, compete dedication, compete learning and compete propaganda”, the competition secures completion of turnaround/ revamp work on schedule in a safe, quality and efficient way. The competition is across the whole process of turnaround from early preparation, turnaround/revamp and startup. It is all directional, covering maintenance site, logistic service, etc. (Hong Wu)
