On October 14, the Inspection Team of Environmental Protection Ministry came to examine energy saving and emission reduction activities in FREP, under the leadership of team lead Yin Fucai, Deputy Director of Anhui Department of Environmental Protection, accompanied by Yang Ronglang - Deputy Director of Fujian Department of Environmental Protection, Gu Yuefeng – FREP Chairman and President, and Liu Yanchang – FREP Production Operation General Manager.

After listening to a brief report on FREP environmental protection, the team visited the No.1 rainwater monitoring pool and made a field inspection of the company’s energy saving and emission reduction. The team listened to presentation by the technical staff and made physical inspection to understand the process technology adopted by process units, the main facilities, condition of production operation, indicators of gas and waste water after treatment, and so on. The inspection team gave credit for the efforts made by FREP to strictly comply with new environmental law, strictly execute new environmental standards, practically fulfill environmental responsibility, protect and improve biological environment in the surrounding area, and establish an environmental friendly corporate.

As an enterprise highly responsible to the society, FREP always engrave on its mind the social responsibility, seriously carry out major measures required by the government such as energy saving and emission reduction, Ten Articles about Gas and Ten Articles about Water, proactively cooperate SINOPEC campaign of Blue Sky and Clear Water, timely follow up on environmental protection trend, update and release of environmental laws, regulations and standards in and outside China, initiate revamp ahead of time to meet higher standards, promote reduction of emission via optimization of process technology, stricter operation and delicate management to ensure the various pollutants are discharged up to standard, make continuous investment on energy saving, emission reduction and quality upgrade, work hard to push environmental upgrading and reduce emission of pollutants, which not only drive development of local economy but also protect the local environment, confer benefits on local communities and positively contribute to development of harmonious society.
