Company Held A Welcome Meeting for 2015 New Hires


On the afternoon of Aug. 12, the Company held a 2015 new hires welcome meeting. FREP VPs Yousuf and Parut and Operation GM Liu Yanchang were present at the meeting. Heads of Process, T&P, Mechanical, HR&A and relevant departments and 50 college graduates – new employees attended the meeting. The welcome meeting was chaired by HR&A GM Lei Xueqing. 

At the welcome meeting, Huang Shengpeng, FREP employee and the representative of previous college graduates, spoke glowingly of his reflections and experience of work in FREP. Xu Xiaobin, the representative of 2015 new employees, shared his feelings of internship in FREP. 50 new graduates made self-introductions passionately and expressed their good will to blend in the big family of FREP ASAP and to contribute to the rapid development of the Company.

FREP VP Yousuf congratulated 2015 new hires on selecting FREP in the first place. He said, it will be happy and joyful experience working in here. During daily work and life, we should have the courage to think, to do and to try. In case of problems, consult experienced masters humbly. He also gave advice and raised expectations for the new hires: first, get familiar with and blind into FREP culture ASAP; second, enhance team spirit; third, deal with the relationship between dream and reality. He encouraged people to lay a solid foundation, hone their skills and then there will be opportunities for them to realize their dreams and aspirations in the big family of FREP for sure.

VP Parut emphasized that working in petrochemical industry calls for high attention to safety, control of risk, perseverance and stamina. A lot of problems and difficulties remain in the way ahead, but you should never give up. Instead, try your best to finish the transformation of role and adapt to the new role as soon as possible. He said, as a large scale Sino-foreign joint venture, FREP draws upon and integrates the sophisticated management expertise and concepts of both Chinese and foreign shareholders, which add up to the best management practice of FREP. It is a great opportunity for you to study over here. He hoped that new employees will assimilate into the team in no time, learn from each other and grow together, so as to contribute to building FREP into a world class petrochemical company with sustainable competitive edge.

GM Liu Yanchang raised great expectations upon the new employees. First of all, they are expected to strengthen study and consult the senior. He hoped every new graduate will correctly understand the purpose of work and find out the position that best fits him/her during the most critical phase of life. Second, they are expected to get down to earth during work, grow up step by step and deliver a win-win situation of personal value and enterprise value.

The 50 new hires who just graduated from colleges are from Xiamen University, China University of Petroleum, Fuzhou University, Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College, etc. Their arrival injects fresh blood and strength to the development of the Company. (Xiao Wanyuan)
