On the morning of September 23, Company Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng, Deputy Party Secretary, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of Labor Union Yang Hongbin led a group to visit Shicuo Village in the local area for greetings. Deputy District Mayor of Quangang and relevant management members from FREP Process Department, HR & Administration Department, HSE Department, Coordination Office of President and Shicuo Village were present at the symposium.

At the symposium, President Gu Yuefeng stated that FREP had paid continuous attention to the environment and development of local communities while striving for continuous business development. FREP’s visit to Shicuo Village that day was to communicate with community residents and build a good atmosphere under which the company and the community could harmoniously develop.

President Gu Yuefeng said representatives of local community residents were welcome to visit FREP to experience in person the company work on safety and environment protection. He also shared information on the coming TA of FREP existing plant in 2015 and presented the position that FREP would strictly follow TA operation procedures without any environment pollution or impact on local community residents and ensure a safe turnaround of units, and he expected understanding and support by all.

Deputy District Mayor Guo Ronghua said FREP was committed to building a world-class refining and petrochemical company with continuous competitiveness, advanced international management model was rolled out and progressive technology was adopted in contribution to development of local economy. While pursuing continuous business development, FREP has paid continuous attention to environment and development of local communities, kept the promise of excellent corporate citizenship, continuously improved HSE performance and proactively fulfilled social responsibility of the company. The visit that day was an activity of corporate responsibility in return to the society.

Party Branch Secretary of Shicuo Village Shi Zongjing said communication in such a form was very good – it reflected the company’s respect to community residents. A good neighborhood between the two sides was conducive to harmonious development of the company.

It was reported that the company presented Gold Arowana cooking oil and other gifts to local communities such as Shicuo, Qiucuo, Xianfeng, Houtian and Houqian at the coming Mid-Autumn Day.
