Adapt to the New Normal with New Status--- Company Held 2015 Midterm Communication Meeting
On the afternoon of Aug. 12, the Company held a 2015 midterm Communication Meeting in 3/F conference hall of Quanzhou Building. Company leaders including Gu Yuefeng, Yousuf, Parut, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang, etc., were present at the meeting. Functional department GMs, DGMs, PMG heads, BTMs and employee representatives attended the meeting, chaired by VP Yousuf.
At the meeting, FREP Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng wrapped up the business performance during Jan. – Jul. 2015, recognized the remarkable achievements made in earnings, crude oil and feedstock procurement, marked progress made in expansion of market and continuous improvement in operation optimization. He made in-depth analysis about the tough challenges we are facing today in the report. He pointed out that as new opportunities underlie the new market situation, the whole organization should unite together and seize the opportunities by leveraging our advantages in the face of challenges. He emphasized that the work focus in the coming five months will be: work safety, reduction of recordable incidents and unplanned shutdown, delivering Class A safety standardization; continuous optimization and improvement, leveraging the advantage of the refining and petrochemical integration, strongly promotion of implementation of margin improvement projects; sparing no effort in marketing, continuous improvement of market share and customer satisfaction; guarantee of a safe, environment-friendly, quality and efficient completion of turnaround, and one-time success of startup. Comprehend the gist of “transformation of mindset” and strive to build an open-minded and innovative FREP.
The meeting debriefed VP Parut about “2015 HSE Performance” report. In the report, he shared what progress FREP had made in HSE since the foundation of JV and showcased the architecture of the Company’s safety/environment/health system in full dimension. He stressed the mission that “today should guard tomorrow” and disseminated the concept that “safety falls on everyone’s shoulder” in the hope to fulfil better HSE performance and add value to the Company.
Operation GM Liu Yanchang circulated the progress of the Five KFAs deployed early this year, reported on 2015 progress and existing gaps in safety, reliability, margin, Opex and people one after another, and reached alignment in priority work of KFAs and improvement approaches.
At last, FREP Chairman and President Mr. Gu Yuefeng answered employees’ questions about FREP internal development mechanism, talent development plan, communication mechanism and cross functional accountability, made clear that the Company’s policies put people first, encourage all employees to be progressive and guarantee a fair, just and open platform for competition of all, and displayed the new practice, new policies and new look of the Company.
The meeting finished all the agenda at the afternoon that very day and came to a successful close. (COOP)
