At the height of summer, Quanzhou area has been experiencing scorching sun for days. Against the high temperature and sweltering summer, FREP employees fight heat, combat the midsummer and remain on duty in the front line of production despite the hardships. They are fighting for the annual target of the Company.  

On the afternoon of July 30, FREP Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng, Party Secretary Chen Xiaobo and Yang Hongbin, Deputy Party Secretary, Discipline Commission Secretary and Labor Union Chairman, against the burning sun, led all members of PC&UO in visiting Fuels-1, Fuels-2, Aromatics, Olefin, PE, EO/EG, Utilities, Offsite and Terminal Business Teams of Process Department, HSE Fire Brigade, Mechanical Department and Technical & Planning Department to present heatstroke prevention and high temperature greeting articles to employees fighting at the frontline of operation and to make sure frontline employees would get through the hot summer safely.

Company leaders shook hands cordially with employees to show greetings everywhere they went. They extended gratitude to employees for sticking to the posts and the hard work in spite of the formidable heat. They also reminded employees to look after their health and strike a balance between work and health by self-regulating with the aim to prevent sunstroke. They required all departments and teams to practically prevent heat stroke in high temperature season and always put work safety first; in particular, the whole organization has been geared up and forging ahead since the beginning of this year, who delivered continuous profit making for the first half of the year. By June, the accumulative profit before tax registered RMB 2.382 billion Yuan, which further boosted the confidence to win over the battle of management and profit improvement. Half of the time has passed now. Arduous tasks remain in the way ahead. We should keep closer eyes on work safety all the time, focus on the field site and make sure to deliver production safely and in order and complete the annual targets and tasks.

The high temperature greeting brought refreshing cool to the frontline employees and tremendously boosted the morale. Employees expressed they would stand on their own positions, put work safety in place responsibly, safeguard safe and stable running of units and contribute to the fulfillment of the annual targets and tasks.

By report, the Company Labor Union sent heat prevention greeting articles including chrysanthemum tea, Wong Lo Kat and so forth to the frontline employees. Labor protection and heat prevention work in summer has brought a safe and cool summer for employees. (Xiao Wanyuan)
