Mr. Matthew J. Aguiar Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Chemical Visited FREP
Mr. Matthew J. Aguiar, Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Chemical, visited FREP, accompanied by Mr. Scott J. Sullivan, Chairman of ExxonMobil China Petroleum and Petrochemical Company Limited. Mr. Parut Chatikavanij, Vice President of FREP, had a cordial meeting with the delegation led by Mr. Matthew J. Aguiar. The guest and host talked in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
Mr. Gu Yuefeng, President of FREP, on behalf of FREP OOP, welcomed Mr. Matthew J. Aguiar to visit FREP again and thanked him for offering great support and help when he’s the Board Director of the JV. He said, the Company had been continuously improving safety performance and promoting OIMS system as per the decision and deployment made by the BOD meeting. The whole organization had been focusing on safety, attaching importance to safe behavior, equipment unsafe dynamics, etc. Both internal audit and external audit of OIMS system this year was far better than last year.
President Gu Yuefeng also shared JV production & business performance with Mr. Matt Aguiar. He said, both refining and chemical sections made profit since Feb. this year and the first half of the year delivered good profit performance, among the best of Sinopec companies. This greatly inspired FREP employees and the Company management saw good momentum of employees. However, the market situation is experiencing a downward trend the profit pressure for the Company remains high. But FREP OOP is confident and will work together with the management, focus on production and business, work hard, capture market opportunities on the premise of safety, optimize product configuration, strive for more profits, maximize returns to shareholders and also look forward to strong support and help from shareholders.
Mr. Matt Aguiar expressed great pleasure to visit FREP, fully recognized the good profit made by the JV for this year and thanked OOP for the relentless efforts. He said, FREP made remarkable improvement in safety performance, manifested by OIMS establishment and promotion and continuous good employee safety performance, and such good momentum shall be maintained.
Mr. Matt Aguiar congratulated on the successful commissioning of EO/EG Unit. He said this would bring new point of profit growth for the Company. Moreover, it well finished up SCDP project construction. In addition, C2 Recovery Unit commissioning and production proceeded in order. These are favorable for successful financial performance of FREP, make for healthy cash flow and are very pleasing and inspiring. He hoped FREP would constantly focus on safety, reliability and good financial performance and also looked forward to further cooperation among shareholders to boost further improvement of JV performance, profit, etc.
