Company Labor Union Held 2015 Staff Training and Skill Competition Summary and Award Conference
On the morning of July 15, FREP 2015 Staff Training and Skill Competition Summary and Award Conference was held in Furui Hotel. Company leaders – Chen Xiaobo, Yousuf, Parut. Chatikavanij, Yang Hongbin and Liu Yanchang, leaders from Quanzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Quanzhou Municipal Administration of Human Resource and Social Security, Quangang Federation of Trade Unions and Quangang Administration of Human Resource and Social Security were present at the conference. Over 100 people including leaders of relevant FREP departments and competition teams, competition judges, excellent shift teams and advanced individuals awarded attended the conference.
At the conference, Yang Hongbin, Deputy Party Secretary and Labor Union Chairman of the Company, wrapped up 2015 staff training and skill competition activity. Operations General Manager Liu Yanchang read out the award decision made by FREP Labor Union and FREP Youth League Committee. Huang Yueyu, Director of Economic Security Department of Quanzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, presented Quanzhou “May 1st Labor Medal” to employee Lin Zhonghai, who won the first prize during 2015 occupation skill competition final. Liu Binghua, Deputy Director of Quanzhou Municipal Administration of Human Resource and Social Security, presented Quanzhou “Technical Expert” certificates to employees Lin Zhonghai, Zhuang Jianzhong and Zhang Huiqing, the top three of 2015 occupation skill competition final. The conference also awarded 7 “Excellent Shift Teams” during 2015 occupation skill contest and 52 “Skill Champions” during occupational skill competition.
FREP Party Secretary Chen Xiaobo delivered a keynote speech on how to build a high-skilled team of staff. FREP Vice Presidents Yousuf and Parut.Chatikavanij highly appreciated the achievements that FREP Labor Union made during staff training and skill competition activity. They also congratulated employees who won the honorary title of “Skill Champion”.
FREP 2015 staff training and skill competition activity was co-sponsored by Quanzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Municipal Administration of Human Resource and Social Security. It was also strongly supported by Quangang Federation of Trade Unions and Quangang Administration of Human Resource and Social Security. Since the notice of competition activity was issued in April this year, the Company responded to the call proactively soon. Front line operation employees got down to active learning of professional skill, with high enthusiasm to improve operating skill. In total, 251 employees of 34 work types from 7 business teams of Process Department entered for the competition proactively. In addition, the Company picked up 46 people from functional departments, business teams, PCL, TCL and MCL and formed 7 specialized assessment teams to offer assessment for the competition, which guaranteed professionalism and fairness of the competition. Considering some units lacked OTS system, the competition organizing committee researched counter-plan in time and adopted competitive examination and oral defense so as to ensure extensive participation of employees. During the 2-month competition, there were 46 OTS contests, 2 written examinations and 16 oral defense competitions; the final also had 1 general knowledge examination. In short, the competition has reached a very high level in terms of flexibility and diversity of competition form, the practicability and professionalism of competition contents, and the standard and authority of the organization of the competition. It also tested the real skill of employees, with a batch of excellent individuals and shift teams emerging in the competition. (Li Jianxin)
