Kick-off of 2015 OIMS Internal Assessment


Following the requirement of annual assessment and improvement of OIMS to continuously enhance FREP safety management, the Company initiated 2015 OIMS internal assessment as planned.

On the afternoon of May 18, the Company organized a kick-off meeting to officially initiate OIMS assessment. FREP OOP members Gu Yuefeng, Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Parut Chatikavanij attended the meeting together with assessment team members, OIMS element owners and BTMs. Four Friends of OIMS were incorporated into the assessment teams to facilitate more frontline employees to get familiar with OIMS concept and system assessment.

The meeting was chaired by VP Parut Chatikavanij. As owner of OIMS 11.1 – Assessment and Improvement and lead of this Internal Assessment, VP Parut Chatikavanij briefly introduced the background of the internal assessment and clearly defined the objective and grouping of this activity. According to his presentation, this is a really internal assessment with challenges to be conducted solely by FREP employees.

VP Nouraddin A. Yousuf required all the assessors to be open and practically and realistically carry out assessment to reflect the real issues from the standpoint of system optimization.

At the meeting, President Gu Yuefeng reinforced the importance of this assessment for FREP safety management and he required all the BTs and involved departments to provide proactive cooperation, the assessors to sufficiently communicate and exchange with all stakeholders and the assessment team to identify the exact gaps so as to facilitate rectification of all elements and improvement of FREP safety management.

After the meeting, the assessment team started interviews on the element owners and administrators as planned, carried out inspection in each BT and relevant departments, and conducted field verification of facilities and operation conditions. This assessment is to last for seven business days, from May 18 to May 26, 2015. (Lian Wennan)
