Company Held Position Evaluation Kickoff Meeting
On May 6, FREP held position evaluation kickoff meeting in the 7/F meeting room, Office Building of the plant area. Company leaders including Gu Yuefeng, Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Parut Chatikavanij, Yang Hongbin and Liu Yanchang, business team leads and relevant people attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Lei Xueqing, HR&A General Manager, introduced human resource strategic plan and 2015 human resource key work plan, which require each department and team to take the work seriously and practically push forward the progress to ensure the project will be implemented on schedule.
This position evaluation is a specific job to implement the annual business plan. The Company hired Mercer Company as the cooperative consultant for FREP with the aim to systematically collate the existing position system, utility scientific evaluation method to build and improve a position hierarchy that meets FREP business demand, lay a solid foundation for continuous improvement of FREP human resource management system, promote and put into practice “value realization” of employees and accelerate the achievement of the Company’s strategic objective.
The consultant from Mercer Company presented position evaluation method, shared influencing factors of position evaluation and Mercer Company’s evaluation process and tool, how to use position structure to diagnose and evaluate the effectiveness of organizational structure and compensation structure by living examples, which deepened people’s understanding of position evaluation and effectively guaranteed effective development of follow-up work.
The presentation and question answering by the consultant deepened attendees’ perception about the importance of position evaluation. They expressed unanimously that they would overcome difficulties, stick to the Company’s deployment and finish this task with both quality and quantity guaranteed. They also stated that they would pay more attention to the effectiveness of organization management in the future activities of management, continuously optimize organization design and more effectively promote the Company to achieve the corporate strategic target of committing to building a world class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness in the meantime of realizing the Company’s human resource strategic goal.
FREP Vice Presidents Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Parut Chatikavanij exchanged with the consultant respectively about issues of their concern at the meeting.
FREP Board Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng raised two specific requirements for position evaluation work: I. Lay emphasis on cross-functional business position management and position analysis, make scientific evaluation in combination with business process and aim at improving organization efficiency to the utmost. II. All those who are engaged in the project should look at the whole picture of the Company, conduct evaluation work rigorous and scientific attitude, straighten out job grade, build a position grade structure that is able to support the business development of the Company, promote healthy flow of talents and provide strong talent support for business development.
It’s reported that HR&A based on the strategic planning for the Company’s future development, made in-depth research and analysis about overall talent structure, compensation incentive mechanism, assessment mechanism and human resource management status from multiple angles, made it clear to promote realization of strategic goal and defined the key focus areas and core issues to be pushed concerning talent structure, human resource management and the kind of areas.
