Look Back on 2014
2014 is a year that FREP faced the highest number of challenges, pressure and toughest difficulties in recent years. It is also an extremely extraordinary year. In this year, all FREP staff members were working hard against difficulties by focusing on the Five KFAs and priority work, and engaging in management and profit double improvement activities. We coped with the tough situation in a scientific way, adjusted company’s operating strategy in time and went all out to improve business management. In the end, we satisfactorily achieved all and tasks and goals set at the beginning of the year.
Inspectorate of State Council’s Safety Supervision Committee came to FREP for safety supervision and inspection. On Feb. 26, No.9 Inspectorate sent by State Council’s Safety Supervision Committee came to LYW Terminal to conduct the 1st work safety supervision after the Chinese New Year, who spoke highly of FREP’s safety management practices, integration of Chinese and overseas management cultures and the favorable HSE achievements made over the years.
FREP held leadership program training. On the morning of Apr. 4, FREP leadership program training courses started. This program was to cultivate internationalized FREP leaders in the environment of China and build the leadership of all levels of management on the same goal, which is FREP’s vision----committed to build FREP into a world-class petrochemical enterprise with sustainable competitiveness, define actions and behavior as FREP leaders to achieve this common goal and their leadership skills required for supporting such actions and behavior. Shift leads and above were covered by this program and program participants were as many as over 300 in number.
FREP newly established foreign trade operating facilities at its terminal passed provincial inspection and acceptance. On Apr. 8, an inspection and acceptance team consisting of personnel from Fujian Provincial Port Management Office, Fujian Provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Fujian Marine Affairs Bureau, Fujian Customs and Fujian Armed Police Headquarters for Border Defense conducted a provincial-level inspection and acceptance of FREP new foreign trade operating facilities at its terminal. The team concluded that FREP terminal was qualified for commodity testing, verifying and supervising on the whole and they would submit a report in accordance with required procedure for its acceptance.
FREP Ranked Top among Fujian Top 100 Enterprise Taxpayers in 2013. Contributing taxes totaling RMB7.11 billion in 2013, FREP ranked No. 3 among top one hundred enterprise taxpayers in Fujian Province.
Sinopec President Li Chunguang Came to FREP for Survey. On May 18, a delegation led by Mr. Li Chunguang, Sinopec Party Committee Member and President, visited FPCL and FREP to make survey, guide FREP’s work, and raise requirements for key work of FREP.
FREP Party Committee Won Honorary Title of “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Fujian Province”. On the eve of “July 1st” (CPC Founding Day) 2014, CPC Fujian Provincial Committee commended advanced grassroots Party organizations, outstanding CPC members and excellent Party workers throughout Fujian Province, and FREP’s Party committee was awarded with the title of “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Fujian Province”.
Mr. Gu Yuefeng acted as FREP BOD Chairman and President as of Oct.30, 2014.
Vice Governor Xu Gang Came to FREP for Inspection of Pipeline Work Safety. With Sinopec 1st “Nov. 22nd” work safety warning day approaching, Mr. Xu Gang, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, visited FREP to inspect work safety of its oil transfer pipelines.
FREP Hosted 2nd Innovation Day Program. On the afternoon of Dec. 10, FREP held award ceremony for the 2nd Innovation Day Program which lasted over four months. In the program, FREP employees, concentrating on the five KFAs of the company, actively made proposals and contributed their ideas and the program committee work team received a total of 353 ideas.
