On January 11^th the handover ceremony of FREP EO/EG unit with a capacity of 180/400kta was convened in Quangang Industrial Park, with presence of the Company Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng, CCP Secretary Chen Xiaobo, Deputy CCP Secretary & Secretary of Discipline Commission & Labor Union Chairman Yang Hongbin, SINOPEC SEI DGM Li Hao and SINOPEC #10 Construction Company DGM Wang Chunting, together with management members of FREP departments, BTs and PMG as well as representatives of the contractor companies.

Based on joint efforts made by designing institutes, construction companies, project undertakers and supervision companies etc, EO/EG unit has been successfully built with quality and efficiency after construction over a tight schedule less than 18 months starting with piling work on August 28^th, 2013, and well handed over as a critical unit for company profit improvement, which indicates that EO/EG unit has stepped into the stage of production preparation.

In his speech Company Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng pointed out that Office of President and management at all level had attached great importance to EO/EG unit as a key to company profit improvement. He would like all the departments and business teams in particular EO/EG Business Team and all contractors engaged in the construction to keep up the good work as a team and well manage project wind-up and various preparations to ensure a successful one-time start-up with delicate organization in pursuit of excellence, committed to building EO/EG unit as an energy-saving project with advanced technology, top management and outstanding benefit to contribute to faster and better development of FREP.

SEI DGM Li Hao stated that SEI as EPC contractor of this project knew well that project handover did not put an end to project construction. Instead, SEI would continue to work with the owner to ensure successful one-time start-up by taking owner’s expectation as its mission to complete the remaining project work with high standard and high efficiency, cooperate with the owner for commissioning, provide effective EPC support and dedicate a fine project to FREP.

According to SINOPEC #10 Construction Company DGM Wang Chunting, #10 Construction Company will continue to collaborate start-up activities, assign a professional support team with high work efficiency, and make appropriate arrangements especially before and after Spring Festival to ensure successful one-time start-up.

The newly built 180/400kta EO/EG unit is meant to support incremental capacity after SC revamp and expansion, adopting the technology licensed by SD Company located in USA and selecting SINOPEC Engineering Institute (SEI) as EPC contractor and SINOPEC #10 Construction Company to undertake construction installation of main units.
