FREP Held OOP Special Meetingfor Planning the Work of 2015


President Gu Yuefeng chaired an OOP Special Meeting on Dec. 22th for discussing and planning the objectives and priorities of 2015. The meeting drew on collective wisdom and collected useful ideas on company objectives and priorities in the 5KFAs of “Safety, Reliability, Margin, Opex, People”, reinforced thinking and directions for the next year, thus to reach consensus and guide the work of 2015. Office of Presidents, Chairman of the Union, Operation GM, Project GM, Departments GMs/ DGMs and Business Team Managers presented the meeting.

During the full day meeting, responsible personnel from relative department shared the progress of 2014 5KFAs, benchmarking result, 2015 marketing strategy, and the priorities of key focus areas. In regards to the “new normal” of economic development, attendees of the meeting shared thoughts and solutions from their own perspective. Members of OOP commented on the gaps and difficulties in their responsible areas respectively, discussed the critical/ difficult issues require us to make breakthroughs in 2015, and raised specific comments and suggestions. Management in all layers are expected to make new improvements in the work of 2015 through enhancing leadership and execution, strengthening communication and cooperation, and jointly devoting to the defined objectives by taking full responsibility and initiatives.

President Mr. Gu Yuefeng commented that Chinese economy has entered into the “new normal” status. As for FREP, “new normal” means opportunities as well as challenges, which give us both impetus and pressure. The key is to be practical and realistic, and make effective progress. Aiming on sustainable, steady and healthy development of FREPwe should continually accept new challenges by breaking through the stereotypes; grasp rules of development instead of depending on abnormal practices; take initiatives instead of being passive. He requested that a new status should be achieved among management and employees in the environment of New Normal. First, intensify learning and highly focus on the changes of macro-economy and external situation; timely study the changes of safety/ environmental/ tax policies and industrial development, and understand the impact to FREP; unlock the traditional thinking/ concept, focus on solving the outstanding conflicts in operation and gaining initiative of work; make effort on improving risk resistance of the company for responding to more complicated/ difficult situations at any moment. Second, reinforce the sense of urgency and responsibility, establish the awareness of FREP general interest and maintain good spirit and attitude as “new normal”. Third, improve execution starting from ourselves, strengthen effective communication and cooperation in teamwork, and accomplish the objectives of production and operation with a pragmatic and down-to-earth manner.
