On the morning of October 31, the Company held a management conference in the meeting room of Exhibition Hall to bid farewell to Mr. Lu Dong who would leave the Company and welcome Mr. Gu Yuefeng who would assume the post Board Chairman and President of FREP. The Company’s leaders including Gu Yuefeng, Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Parut Chatikavanij, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang and Hu Hongye and Mr. Lu Dong Former Chairman of BOARD and President of Company were present at the meeting and departmental general managers, deputy general managers, process business team managers and relevant personnel attended the meeting. Chaired by Vice President Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, the meeting was simple and solemn. 

Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Vice President, said in his address that we gather together here today for a rap session to bid farewell to Mr. Lu Dong who is leaving the Company and welcome Mr. Gu Yuefeng who’s joining the Company. At this very moment, like every one of you, I feel hard to part. I’m happy for Mr. Lu Dong who will leave for a new career and life in Beijing and grateful for his contributions to FREP. In the meantime, I would like to extend cordial welcome to Mr. Gu Yuefeng to join our team.

Mr. Parut Chatikavanij, Vice President, recollected with pleasure the scene when Mr. Lu Dong was working in FREP. He said, Mr. Lu Dong experienced and witnessed the construction and development of FREP and has forged deep friendship with us. His pursuit of perfection, seek for constant refinement, down-to-earth and cooperative work style are very impressive. None of us will forget him. He remains a friend to FREP forever. He always helps and supports the joint venture. I would like to thank him for his contributions. 

Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Parut Chatikavanij also expressed that we believe continuous injection of excellent secondees from shareholders like Mr. Gu Yuefeng will bring more vigor and experience to the joint venture. We also hope that Mr. Lu Dong will continue to care and support the development of FREP, as always, and come back home from time to time. The door of FREP is always open for you!

Mr. Gu Yuefeng, Board Chairman and President of FREP, said in his speech that, I once visited FREP in 2012 with YPC-BASF company management and witnessed the construction and development of Fujian Refining and Ethylene Integrated Project. I formally join FREP team from today. I am very pleased to be a part of the large FREP family and I have felt the passion of the large FREP family. I will join hands with OOP and the whole organization to make arduous efforts for the development and growth of FREP.

About to leave FREP where he worked for over seven years, Mr. Lu Dong said emotionally that I am honored to be a member of the large FREP family, to work together with you, to fight all out, to experience the foundation, construction and development of the joint venture and to witness the construction of Fujian Refining and Ethylene Integrated Project. All these will be the deepest memories that I shall bear in mind. He said every day I spend here is very enjoyable. For sure, I will take opportunities to care the development of FREP more. I have faith in the Five KFAs of FREP. Under the strong leadership of FREP management with Mr. Gu Yuefeng as the President together with an excellent staff team, who unite together, work hard and commit to building FREP into a world class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness, FREP will gain brighter future. In addition, I would like to thank my colleagues in FREP, who leave beautiful memories. I will always cherish our friendship and the happiness when we worked together.

In the meeting, Mr. Gu Yuefeng also presented “FREP Honorable Employee” medal to Mr. Lu Dong. Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Parut Chatikavanij sent, on behalf of the Company, the photograph album of scenes when Mr. Lu Dong was working in FREP to Mr. Lu Dong. Mr. Yang Hongbin, Mr. Liu Yanchang and Mr. Hu Hongye and relevant departmental leads also made speeches in the meeting.
