“Hand in Hand” Safety Action Kickoff Meeting was convened in FREP Technical Hall on the morning of December 12. FREP Chairman and President Mr. GuYuefeng, Vice Presidents Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Parut Chatikavanij, Operation General Manager Mr. Liu Yanchang and PMG General Manager Hu Hongye were present at the meeting. Approximately 200 people including departmental General Managers, Business Team Managers and contractor management attended the meeting.

President Mr. Gu Yuefeng pointed out that safety work is sacred while safety action is ordinary. “Hand in Hand” safety action is in line with “Three No Harm” concept. The concept is good and it rests in implementation of specific action. “Hand in Hand” safety action is an important part of the Company’s safety culture system. This action has been fully kicked off from today on, and it requires the whole organization to take actions in all dimensions and put “Hand in Hand” safety action into the practice of every safety activity.

Vice President Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf said in the speech that “I told you because I cared about you”. “Hand in Hand” safety action is a tool and more an expression of love.

As the champion of “Hand in Hand” safety action, Vice President Mr. Parut Chatikavanij reinforced Tailand and China share similar culture. Tailand has rolled out hand in hand safety action for 15 years. Experiencing a long process and improvement, Thailand refinery once won the laurel of “World Safest Plant”. This is inseparable from “Hand in Hand” safety action. This initiative is very easy to launch at any time any place and is of strong vitality. “No Injury in My Sight” is not only a slogan. It is a commitment and moreover a way to pass on friendliness and caring love.

 “Hand in Hand” safety action initiative is jointly launched by HSE Department and PC&UO. It is applicable to all FREP employees (including secondees and contractual workers) and contractors who work in FREP field site. The purpose is to enhance work safety, correct unsafe behavior and thus gain better safety performance and ultimately achieve work safety, safe, stable and long-term running of the plant by mutual reminding and mutual help between employees, between employees and contractors, and between contractors.
