Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio Held 2014 Achievement Appraisal Meeting


On the afternoon of September 28, Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio held 2014 Achievement Appraisal Meeting. Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of Trade Union of the Company, Hu Hongye, General Manager of PMG, He Qingdong, Vice Chairman of Trade Union and Director of PC&UO of the Company, Lei Xueqing, General Manager of HR&A Department, Zhuang Xiaodong, General Manager of Mechanical Department, Zhang Huaping, Deputy General Manager of Mechanical Department, Tu Shenghua, Manager of Instrument Module, instrument engineers and Innovation Studio members were present at the meeting.

Attendees appreciated and exchanged comments about 2014 project achievements of Model Worker Innovation Studio at the meeting. Wang Huiming, on behalf of Innovation Studio members, reported on 2014 Studio achievements and development thoughts. Leaders made comments respectively with regard to the major achievements and outcomes of Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio over the one year.

PMG General Manager Hu Hongye hoped that Model Worker Innovation Studio would drive talents to innovate, play a mentoring role and further improve equipment reliability. He also expected to see more new faces in the Model Worker Innovation Studio and training for the new recruits will be carried out in place.

Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, pointed out that Model Worker Innovation Studio played the role of innovating, profit creating, talent cultivating and technological innovation and breakthrough over the past one year with the care of the Company under the support of relevant functional departments including Mechanical Department and HR Department. He said, as the Company launched the Management and Profit Improvement Year initiative this year, I think, the innovating and profit creating achievements made by Model Worker Innovation Studio are also the concrete actions in response to the Company’s management and profit improvement activities in a deep-going way. The Party Committee of the Company attaches great importance to the work of Model Worker Innovation and hopes that relevant departments will extend great support. The growth and progress of Model Worker Innovation Studio cannot be achieved without other functions as Mechanical Department, HR&A Department and etc. I hope that other departments will strongly support the innovation and profit creating work of Model Worker Innovation Studio; it needs to extend the coverage of the Studio work in depth and width so as to engage more people. For the next step, relevant disciplines of Mechanical Department, like Electrical, Rotating Equipment, should participate. Now only Instrument discipline presses onward and linkage effect remains yet to be generated. I hope Mechanical Department will set a good example and take the lead to drive Process Department and Technical and Planning Department in that a single spark can start a prairie fire. In this way, the work can be spread and a favorable environment for innovating and profit creating will be formed henceforth.

To conclude, Yang Hongbin reinforced we shall push forward the development of Model Worker Innovation Studio and that we shall make it a hub for talent cultivation, profit improvement, innovation and creation and the brand of Trade Union efforts so that it makes contributions to building the Company into a world class petrochemical enterprise with sustainable competitive edge.

As informed, 9 achievements including “Steam Cracking Unit Three Units Trip Solenoid Valve Control Power Source Optimization and Modification Project”, “PP Unit Pneumatic Conveying System Reliability Improvement Plan”, to name just a few, were awarded as 2014 Innovation Products of Model Worker Innovation Studio. These projects are put into operation in succession and have shown signs of benefits. Operation of “Steam Cracking Unit Three Units Trip Solenoid Valve Control Power Source Optimization and Modification Project” alone prevents unplanned shutdowns valued at 20 million RMB/time.
