The Chinese traditional Lantern Festival falls on February 14 this year. The labor unions of FPCL and FREP jointly sponsored a cooking competition themed as "harmonious and enjoyable Lantern Festival after the bustling and joyful Spring Festival" in the dinning hall of Quanzhou Fulian Building. The competition attracted many employees and their families and they participated in the Lantern Festival event enthusiastically.

Many units or teams from FPCL, FREP, LFG, Fuyuan, Ruisheng, among others, took part in the cooking competition. FPCL and FREP leaders who were at home, including Mr. Lu Dong, Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Yang Hongbin, and Ms. Li Siyang, observed the competition and presented awards to the winners.

The bustling and hustling site of the competition was so crowded, some people kneading dough and some people making stuffing. Contestants in the event were not only employees from different companies, but also expat executives, all devotedly.

What a happy scene when the team members got together to experience the delight of making tangyuan, jiaozi and cold dishes! All the contestants tried their best to showcase their skills. Smiling faces, glutinous and sweet rice balls and dumplings, all reflected the friendly feelings of the people towards each other at that moment. In less than one hour, plates of tangyuan in rounded shape, jiaozi in different tastes and cold dishes in different colors were brought to the table. When the assorted cold dishes with vegetable sculptures true to life were put on the table, people came close to admire and cheer. The atmosphere was so warm and sweet when people shared the food, and the sweet smell, tasting and meaningful tangyuan and jiaozi triggered laughter and appreciation in the reunion.

As the saying goes, "making and eating tangyuan can bring good luck to you all the year round!" While eating the rice balls and dumplings wrapped by themselves, they exchanged warm greetings and best wishes to each other. At the same time, they were experiencing the grand reunion of FPCL in a family-like atmosphere.

When the tangyuan, jiaozi and cold dishes were brought to the table after a busy time of the contestants, judges scored the food comprehensively according to color, fragrance, taste, shape, connotation and nutrition. Finally, Human Resources and Administration Department and Supply and Distribution Department of FREP shared the championship; the Comprehensive Administration Office of FPCL, FREP Finance Dept., Business Analysis & Statement BT of FREP Tech. & Planning Dept., and Fuyuan Company won second prizes; and six teams including FREP Mechanical Dept. Fitters BT, FPCL HSE BT shared the third place.

Enjoying happy Spring Festival and celebrating Lantern Festival in a family reunion atmosphere is the hope of all the people. The competition has passed happiness and sincere wishes to everyone present and all people spent a colorful, joyful and harmonious night.
