On the afternoon of Jan. 27, Mr. Zheng Xincong, Mayor of Quanzhou, led a delegation to visit FREP for Spring Festival Condolence Activities. Mr. Lu Dong, Mr. Brian Ablett, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Yang Hongbin met with Mayor Zheng Xincong and his delegation, and friendly talks were held between the host and the guest.

In the central control room of the new plant area, Mr. Zheng Xincong, on behalf of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, expressed his respects and best wishes to the employees who still worked at the frontline during the Spring Festival by giving up the opportunity of reuniting with their families. Mr. Zheng Xincong pointed out that “The petrochemical industry is an important pillar industry of Quanzhou City, and FREP is a leading and backbone enterprise of Quanzhou petrochemical industrial cluster; it is hoped that after the ethylene debottleneck and turnaround & revamping, FREP can expand the production capacity, manufacture more products and exert its effectiveness as early as possible so as to make contributions to expanding the petrochemical industrial clusters and developing the local economy.” He required that all relevant departments directly under the leadership of the municipality, the local government and party committee of the project area should serve the project construction and push forward smooth implementation of the project.

Mr. Lu Dong expressed his thanks to the leaders of Quanzhou City and Quangang District for their concern to FREP on behalf of Office of President. He said “FREP will strengthen the improvement of HSE performance continuously, upgrade the delicacy management level and improve the economic performance while enhancing safe and stable operation, so as to make contributions to the economic development of Quanzhou City.” He expressed that “FREP will keep a foothold on Quanzhou, pay attention to Quanzhou’s development, fulfill its social responsibility positively, commit itself to becoming an “excellent corporate citizenship” and a “good neighbor” of the community, push forward the project construction continuously, introduce high-quality projects actively and strive to bring benefit to Quanzhou and repay the society.”

Mr. Wu Liyuan, head of Quanzhou District and other leaders also attended the activities. It is reported that the municipal party committee and municipal government of Quanzhou, the district committee and government of Quangang sent gifts to the company according to the Chinese traditional proprieties, and blessed FREP to be lucky and success in the new year.
