From April 16 to 17, Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPC and Director of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People’s Congress, conducted a survey in Quanzhou City on promoting industrial development, frontline governance, rural revitalization, and related fronts.

He emphasized the need to deeply study and implement the guiding principles as laid out in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Fujian’s work, to make solid steps to carry out the learning and education program on fostering and practicing a right view of performance, and to thoroughly advance the “Three-Strive” initiative (Strive to Excel in Learning, Strive to Take the Lead, and Strive for Results through Solid Work Initiative). He called for upholding a truth-seeking, pragmatic, and down-to-earth approach in accelerating the development of a modern industrial system that embodies Fujian’s distinctive features, reforming and innovating social governance models, promoting comprehensive rural revitalization, and striving to drive high-quality economic and social development. Wang Jinfu, Vice Governor of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, joined the survey tour.

On the morning of April 16, Zhou Zuyi and his delegation visited FREP for a survey tour. They toured the Company’s Exhibition Hall and observed the Central Control Room for production units. Company leaders Zhang Xiguo and Lin Xu accompanied him during the survey and reported on matters concerning production and operations and project development.

At the Company’s Exhibition Hall, Zhou Zuyi listened in detail to briefings by Company leaders on the enterprise’s layout planning, industrial chain extension, and its role in driving the development of the local petrochemical industry. He inquired about the current supply of products in the market and affirmed the Company’s development achievements and business performance.

During the survey, Zhou Zuyi visited the Central Control Room for production units, where he visited and greet frontline cadres and employees, and inquired about their work and life with sincere concern. He also had a cordial conversation with the Company’s foreign Vice President, Haytham Zamzami, expressing welcome and appreciation for their coming from afar to contribute to the development of Fujian.

At the Central Control Room, Zhou Zuyi inspected the production and operation status of units and gained a detailed understanding of the Company’s production and operation, safety and environmental protection, and energy-saving and profitability-improving measures.

He expressed the hope that the Company would keep in mind the instructions and remain dedicated to striving forward, advancing scaled, integrated, and refined development, fully leveraging its role as the chain leader to attract more related industries to settle, diversifying guarantees for crude oil supply, and striving to build a world-class petrochemical industry base with sustained competitiveness, thereby making new contributions to Fujian’s development. He also emphasized the need to prioritize safety, conduct regular potential hazard inspections and rectifications, strengthen safety education and training, and ensure the high-quality and sustainable development of the enterprise.
