Zhang Xiguo extended a warm welcome to Frederik Donkers and his delegation, expressing gratitude for ExxonMobil's long-term support to FREP and acknowledging the significant role played by its extensive global management experience and professional management team. He noted that in the current highly competitive market, FREP faces increasing challenges. While ensuring production safety, the Company has made significant progress in advancing margin improvement and cost reduction efforts, achieving strong operational performance and continuously enhancing its core competitiveness.

Zhang Xiguo stated that in recent years, with the introduction of the dual-carbon goals, environmental policies have become increasingly stringent, and the state has intensified control over new production capacity. This has placed higher demands on FREP's future development. He expressed hope that ExxonMobil, as the shareholder, would provide strong support for FREP's projects under development planning, helping the Company move toward low-carbon, high-end, and refined development, continuously enhancing its value, and maximizing shareholder benefits.

Frederik Donkers remarked that in the face of difficulties and challenges, under the leadership of Chairman Zhang Xiguo and the management team, all employees of FREP have achieved remarkable results in areas such as management systems, production safety, reliable operations, and gross margin improvement. This fully demonstrates the overall success of the joint venture's production and operations.

Frederik Donkers stated that all shareholders are not only business partners but also a community of shared interests with aligned goals. He expressed hope that the joint venture will continue to grow and develop, achieving value appreciation. ExxonMobil is focused on the development of FREP. This on-site visit aims to gather information on policies, regulations, market supply and demand, and other factors to better support decision-making at the headquarters. The goal is to explore development opportunities for the joint venture with all shareholders, ensuring that investment projects remain competitive in the market and achieve the targeted investment returns.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics of mutual concern, including the international situation, market development, industry transformation, and logistics and transportation.

After the talks, Frederik Donkers and his delegation listened to a report from the Company’s management on its production, operations and development planning.
