Tian Hongbin, General Manager of Refining Business Department of Sinopec Group, Visited the Company for Research


On August 27, Tian Hongbin, General Manager of Refining Business Department of Sinopec Group, came to the Company for research and guidance. Accompanied byCompany management Lin Xu and Li Ji, Tian Hongbin and his delegation visited the Company’s Exhibition Hall and New Central Control Room for an on-site research to learn about its production and operation situation.

At the seminar for the research, Tian Hongbin discussed with everyone on issues such as safety and environmental protection, benefits creation and long-term development.

Tian Hongbin said that FREP has done a lot in promoting the construction of safety and reliability systems by introducing and learning from the advanced management experience of its shareholders, and has put into place a relatively complete institutional system. FREP has strictly implemented the requirements as laid out in the speech made by Chairman Ma Yongsheng of Sinopec Group when he came to the Company to supervise itswork on production safety, and made every effort to ensure the work safety situation was transitioning towards stability and improvement. FREP has actively responded to the severe market environment and adopted a series of measures to improve quality and profitability, expand markets and increase sales, with the chemical segment, in particular, havingachieved good results.

Tian Hongbin demanded that safety responsibilities must be fulfilled, operation methods must be improved, and systems must be better implemented to ensure that the systems operate more effectively; the update of aged units must be done well, and close attention must be paid to issues such as CUI and leakage of small bore piping, and that management and control level by level must be put into place to ensure effective risk control; attention must be paid to giving full play to subjective initiative of people, and that innovative management mechanisms with the characteristics of a joint venture must be explored; development planning must be vigorously promoted, and communication and exchanges with shareholders must be strengthened. Shareholders’ resources must be leveraged, more efforts must be made to supplement and improve its industrialchain, the characteristics and strengths of integration must be brought into play, and the trend of intelligence-driven development must be grasped to enhance the sustainable competitiveness of units.

Lin Xu reported on the Company’s work in areas such as work safety, benefits creation and TA. He said that this year marked a critical operation year for TA with six-year interval. Faced with severe and complex production and operation situation, working around the three priorities of safety, environmental protection and stable operation, three battles of TA/Revamp, benefits creation, and work safety, and construction of intelligent factory, talent team and work style”, the Company has steadily advanced a variety of tasks and achieved new results. There are still more than 40 days before the complete shutdown. The Company is making every effort to make all preparations before the TA. We will further strengthen our confidence, proactively focus on benchmarking and mindset alignment, continuously improve our work, to ensure the successful completion of the TA, and lay a solid foundation for the work safety and benefits creation in the next operation cycle.
