On December 18, the unveiling ceremony of the Company's R&D Center was held in the square in front of Product Quality Center.

President Saleh Yahya Al Zaid and Vice President Lin Xu of the Company, Deputy Secretary of Quangang District Party Committee Zhang Jingli and Deputy Director of Quangang District Government Cheng Gang attended the ceremony, and jointly unveiled the R&D Center.

Lin Xu delivered a speech on behalf of the Company's Office of the President. He commented that FREP has stayed committed to innovation-driven development strategy. The R&D Center represented a major initiative of the Company to continuously improve its competitiveness, which would create far-reaching significance for the Company's high-quality development in the new era.

Lin Xu commented that the R&D Center would focus on development needs, be market-oriented in developing new products and improving market competitiveness. It should focus on coordinating resources, building platform, strengthening cooperation with scientific research institutes, establishing a flexible R&D mechanism, and giving play to its advantages in integration and specialization. It should also implement talent strategy for high-quality development by scientific research team, and continuously enhance R&D strength to achieve talent-based company development and innovation-enabled empowerment.

Zhang Jingli congratulated the founding of the R&D Center on behalf of Quangang District Party Committee and Quangang District Government. She commented that FREP has taken roots in Quangang District, worked hard in petrochemical industry, stayed committed to innovation-driven development, and continued to step up investments in capital, talents and other aspects with fruitful results.

Zhang Jingli commented that Quangang District Party Committee and Quangagn District Government would continue to support the development of FREP by providing high-quality services, and helping the Company to get bigger and stronger in Quangang District, and make greater contributions to local economic development.

After the unveiling ceremony, the management and the guests visited the laboratory of the R&D Center to learn about the preparation of the R&D center, products development and application, and laboratory construction progress.

It was learned that in setting up the R&D Center, the Company would build a polyolefin products application and improvement R&D laboratory. The R&D Center would focus on the needs of the market, work on development and research, improve application performance, and further develop polyolefin product series, so as to inject fresh impetus for the Company to seize market initiative and improve sustainable competitiveness.
