Chasing Dreams to Embrace a Better Future



On September 13, the Company held a meeting for job assignment and training results presentation for the new hires of 2023.

Company management Zhang Xiguo, Saleh Yahya Al Zaid, Lin Xu and Li Ji attended the meeting. The responsible people of relevant functional departments and BTs, and 68 new hires attended the meeting.

Zhang Xiguo, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Company, commented that through the vivid presentation of training achievements of the new hires, he could feel the vigor and youthful enthusiasm. They have gained and grown a lot during the training program, laying a solid foundation for their future work. Starting a new trip requires a new status. He put forward expectations as follows for the new hires based on his work experience.

First, we should drive changes and get fitted into the new environment. From school to the Company, from a student to an employee, the environment has changed. In response, the new hires should make in-depth changes in thinking and actions, adapt to the work environment as soon as possible, strictly abide by rules and regulations of the Company, quickly get fitted into the team and create value for the team, and strive for honors.

Second, we should make efforts on learning and self improvement. Chairman Mao Zedong once wrote a couplet about learning: "If you have perseverance, why bother getting up early in the morning and sleeping late at night? The most useless thing is to study for one day and then rest for ten days". We should be "tenacious" to maintain the mentality of learning knowledge and persist in lifelong learning. We should not only learn professional knowledge and continuously improve job skills and professional ability, but also make efforts on expanding the horizon of knowledge, conduct trans-functional learning, and continuously improve cognitive dimension.

Third, we should take physical exercises and maintain good health. A good health was the foundation for work and life. Good habits in physical exercises enable positive attitude towards life. A strong body allows people to calmly cope with difficulties and setbacks. The Company's Labor Union regularly organizes various sports activities every year, and the new hires were encouraged to actively participate for the purpose of taking physical exercises and cultivating team spirit.

Fourth, we should seek solidarity and promote collaboration. Big Fulian was a big family, with all as family members although coming from all over the world. Family members should stay close with each other with smooth communication, good colleague relations. The new hires were encouraged to get integrated into the big family as early as possible.

Fifth, we should maintain good discipline and foster sound working style. The Company has complete rules and regulations and standardized management in place. The new hires should establish a sense of rules and conscientiously observe the rules and regulations. It was essential for the new hires to learn and practice skills. The Company would assign experienced and skillful masters for the new hires. It was expected that the new hires not only learn skills from the masters, but also their working style, especially strict implementation of the Company’s safety regulations in field operation and work.

Finally, Zhang Xiguo commented that the Company had advanced equipment, complete systems and diverse cultures, providing a broad platform for the youth to practice, grow, and demonstrate their talents. He hoped that everyone would have ambitions, uphold dedication, have the courage to take responsibilities, be down-to-earth, work hard, and create a brighter future for the Company with great aspiration and passion.

President Saleh Yahya Al Zaid first congratulated the new hires on their successful completion of the training session. He encouraged the new hires to improve their safety awareness, fully understand risks and protect themselves and others, and ensure that "no one is injured under my watch". The new hires should make more efforts in learning and understand the Company's regulations, learn from the masters and strive to grow, achieve self-improvement and contribute to the Company's high quality development.

Vice President Lin Xu and Vice President Li Ji respectively put forward requirements and expectations for the new hires.

At the meeting, the outstanding trainees and trainee teams of the new hires orientation training of 2023 were awarded, and the job assignment scheme for the new hires was announced.

At the meeting, the new hires were divided into 8 teams to report and present their accomplishments and experiences in the orientation training. They demonstrated their personal styles from different aspects, and expressed their expectations for the future. They said that they would change their roles timely, always persist in learning, strengthen career beliefs, enhance team spirit and sense of responsibility, carry forward the good traditions of petroleum and petrochemical industry, uphold the corporate culture, and contribute their strength of youth to the Company's high quality development.
