On the morning of November 7, a delegation led by Chen Xuedong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, visited the company for a special research on the development of petrochemical industry. The company management Liu Xiangdong and Lin Xu welcomed Chen Xuedong and his delegation.

Qian Feng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice chairman of Shanghai Municipal Political Consultative Congress, Sun Lili, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and executive director of Sinopec Engineering Incorporation, Tu Shandong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of East China University of Science and Technology, and other experts accompanied the research.

Chen Xuedong briefly introduced the subject and significance of the research. He said that "green, safe and intelligent development of petrochemical industry in Fujian Province" was a major consulting project based on the cooperation between Chinese Academy of Engineering and Fujian Provincial Government. In this research, they visited some key enterprises in Fujian Province to understand the current situation of petrochemical industry and the problems in production, as well as the future development plan, so as to better promote the high-quality development of petrochemical industry in Fujian Province.

Liu Xiangdong welcomed Chen Xuedong and his delegation and briefly introduced the progress has been made by the company in green development, intelligent construction, regional advantages and development directions. He said that on the basis of existing production capacity, the company has taken intelligent measures to optimize the whole production process, increased the production of high value-added products and explored profit growth points in depth, and achieved remarkable results. In addition, the company has prepared a comprehensive development plan based on the market outlook, to proactively promote the SC Expansion Project and continuously improve the company’s core competitiveness.

Sun Lili commented that FREP should make good use of its advantages on diversified products, sort out and classify all the materials in the industrial chain, make good use of the materials through unit adaptability revamp and technology optimization, tap more production potential, increase production of high value-added products, and continuously improve the company’s profit.

Qian Feng commented that in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, implementing green development and whole-process digitalization and intellectualization were not only the future development trend of petrochemical enterprises, but also a support for the extended value chain. Enterprises should accelerate digital and intelligent transformation, build a platform integrating raw material procurement, planning, scheduling, production and sales, and promote production of high-end new materials on the basis of making full use of every drop of oil, so as to enhance competitiveness of the company and realize high-quality development.

Tu Shandong affirmed the company's good and long-period operation of equipment. He said that safety and environmental protection were the foundation of petrochemical enterprises, and long-term operation of equipment was an important part in it. Enterprises should continuously promote equipment management in the whole cycle, establish a joint work mechanism of equipment and process technology, timely identify risks and potential hazards, and realize intrinsic safety of equipment.

At the meeting, Lin Xu briefly introduced the product slate, process flow, industrial chain configuration and future development of the company, and answered the questions raised by the experts about equipment long-period operation, process optimization, model application, etc.

Accompanied by the company management, Chen Xuedong and his delegation visited New CCR and the Exhibition Hall, and took a bus tour for production site visit.

Lv Gang, vice mayor of Quanzhou, Yang Changwen, secretary of the Party Committee of Quangang District and the management of relevant departments accompanied the research.

It was reported that 7 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and more than 60 experts in/ out Fujian Province participated in the research program, to analyze the current situation, development trend and existing problems of the petrochemical industry chain in Fujian Province with focus on the key elements such as process technologies, equipment and informatization, and put forward recommended strategy and roadmap for green, safe and intelligent development, which was of great significance to guide and drive the safe, green and intelligent development of the petrochemical industry in Fujian Province.
