On May 14, the Party Committee of the company held the fourth phase of collective learning of the theoretical learning center group and the Party's History learning and education class of management personnel to learn and convey the important exposition of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening the Party building, convey the spirit of the Leading Party Members’ Group inspection work conference and the first round of inspection and mobilization 2021 of Sinopec Group and the leading group of the Party building of Sinopec Group, and held special discussion on strengthening the Party building of the company.

Liu Xiangdong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of FPCL, presided over the learning and discussion and made a speech. He affirmed the achievements of the Party building work in recent years, and put forward requirements for the Party building of the company to achieve further practical results. Bi Jianguo, the lead of the third inspection group of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Sinopec Group, and deputy group leads Gao Xiaoming and Niu Wenkui, attended the meeting and provided guidance.

The company management Zhang Xiguo and Yang Fei, led the learning of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important essays “The Historical Mission of the Communist Party of China in the New Era” and “Sum up the Party's Historical Experience and Firmly Establish Four Consciousnesses” in the History of the Communist Party respectively, and made key speeches. Hu Hongye shared five stories of the Party's history in "telling the story of the Party's history". Lin Xu, Zhao Tianxing, Lai Shuiming and Hong Xiaojiang attended the learning and discussion.

Members of the central group focused on the theme of "learning history to uphold morality, and strive for actual effect in the Party building", learning and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition and the spirit of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Sinopec Group, combined with  experience in learning the Party's history, and reviewing the development and achievements of the Party building of the company in recent years, discussed experience, ideas and suggestions on the Party building work of the company glowingly.

Liu Xiangdong commented that in recent years, through conscientiously learning and implementing the important exposition of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening the Party building and thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Party building work conference of the state-owned enterprises and the Party building work promoting meeting of Sinopec Group, and the centralized education within the Party, such as "two learning and one do", "remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping the mission firmly in mind" and "learning and education of the Party's history", the mindset of all the Party members were purged politically in an all-round way, and the foundation of the Party building work became more solid and the effect became more remarkable.

Liu Xiangdong stressed that this year was the centenary of the founding of the Party, the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, as well as the year when the company initiated the all-round high quality development to build a leading refining and chemical integrated company in China. We should guide the Party building of the company by the Party's political building, drive the high-quality development by the Party building of high quality, implement the general path of "1355" of the Party building work of Sinopec Group, uphold the spirit of "standing in the front and striving for the first", and provide strong ideological guarantee, political guarantee and organizational guarantee for promoting all-round high-quality development and building a leading refining and chemical integrated company in China.

Liu Xiangdong stressed that we should further strengthen political construction. Continuously learn, understand and implement Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era ideology with Chinese characteristics, carry out in-depth learning and education of the Party's history, adhere to absorb nutrients from the Party's history, and draw strength from the Party's theoretical creation, continuously deepen understanding of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and continuously enhance political judgement, political understanding and political execution, focus on the theme of all-round and high quality development, comprehensively enhance the quality and level of the Party building work of the company, practice the "two uphold" with practical actions, and strive to be the leading enterprise in implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches.

We should further strengthen organizational construction. Implement the Party's organizational line in the new era, continuously carry out the construction of "organizational strength improvement project" and "three basic", carry out the in-depth theme practice activities of "improving quality and profitability, striving for the first, contributing to the centenary of the Party", and deeply integrate the theme practice activities with safety and environmental protection, pandemic prevention and control, quality and profitability improvement, commissioning of Gulei Phase-I, development of Gulei Phase-II, FREP SC Expansion and Downstream High-end New Material Industry Cluster Project, effectively transform the Party building advantages into development advantages.

We should further strengthen building good conduct and political integrity. We should continuously strengthen political supervision, promote the mechanism construction of "three don’ts", deepen the construction of "big supervision" pattern, strive to consolidate the achievements of “building good conduct”, and promote the overall strict governance of the Party to achieve substantial results. We should deepen the prevention and control of the risk of integrity, strengthen identification of the forms of "slight corruption" at the grass-roots level, improve the political integrity education system, ensure effective rectification of findings in inspections, strengthen circle inspection and supervision, and build a good political ecology of good conduct, political integrity and hard working style.

We should further strengthen ideological construction. We should work hard on ideological management, steadily occupy the ideological highlands and cultural positions of the employees, and lead the employees to listen to the Party's command and follow the Party. Earnestly carry out the practical activities of "doing real deeds for the people", spare no efforts to help people at grass-roots level out of difficulties with love from the bottom of heart, and gather high spirit and positive energy. We should carry out in-depth education on situation and tasks, deepen the inheritance of petrochemical industry spirit and carry forward education of petrochemical industry tradition. We should carry out mass cultural activities focusing on the theme of celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China, and continuously improve the centripetal force and cohesion of the employees.
