On June 23, the first meeting of the fifth member congress of the Labor Union of FPCL and the first meeting of the third member congress of the Labor Union of FREP were held ceremoniously.

Liu Xiangdong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of FPCL attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Bingxin, a grade II inspector of Fujian Federation of the Labor Unions, presented at the meeting for guidance and delivered a speech. The company management Lin Xu, Zhao Tianxing and Lai Shuiming attended the meeting, and Yang Fei made the work report of the Labor Union. Nearly 120 Labor Union members of FPCL and FREP attended the meeting.

At 9.30 a.m., the meeting was started in the sound of the magnificent national anthem.

Liu Xiangdong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of FPCL, on behalf of the Party Committee of the company, extended warm congratulations to the convening of the conference, and extended sincere greetings to the representatives of the Labor Union members and the employees.

Liu Xiangdong commented that in recent years, the work of the company Labor Union had been strengthened through practice, with remarkable achievements and fully affirmed by the Party Committee and the employees. He stressed that the Labor Union of the company should adhere to the leadership of political construction, strengthen political responsibility, strengthen theoretical forces, effectively carry on the mission and responsibility of the Labor Union in the new era, and build the Labor Union into a " home of loyalty". We should adhere to focusing on the center and serving the overall interests, make achievements in advancing all-round high-quality development of the company, work hard to make contributions with focus on realizing the development goal of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and quality/ profit improvement. We should adhere to serving the employees, unite the employees by safeguarding their rights, promote harmony and stability by serving the employees, and work hard to build a home trusted by the employees.

Liu Xiangdong required that Labor Unions of the company at all levels should adhere to the concepts of driving work by the Party building, implementing work to the primary-level organizations and by the primary level, build a high-quality professional Labor Union cadre team with high political quality, strong professional ability, good at Union work, loyal to the Party's Labor Union cause and serving the employees and people wholeheartedly.

Liu Bingxin, a grade II inspector of Fujian Federation of the Labor Unions, delivered a speech on behalf of the Provincial Federation of the Labor Unions. She commented that under the leadership of the Party Committee of the company, the Labor Unions of FPCL and FREP strengthened the ideological and political guidance of employees, organized the employees to make achievements, improved democratic management level of enterprises, improved the employees service system, and made positive contributions to the high-quality development of the company and petrochemical industry of the province.

Liu Bingxin stressed that Labor Union organizations at each level of the company should strengthen ideological and political guidance to the employees, deepen Party history learning and education, closely combine with the activity of "re-learning, re-investigating and re-implementing" of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee to promote the learning to be in-depth and practical. We should unite and mobilize the employees to make their own achievements, vigorously promote the spirit of Model Worker, hard working and craftsmanship, give full play to the unique advantages of petrochemical industry and adhere to serving the local economic development. We should do a good job in the service of safeguarding rights, promote the construction of democratic management system, vigorously develop harmonious employment relations and create a good environment for the reform and development of the company. We should comply with the yearning of the employees for a better life, cooperate with the Party and management of the company to solve the most direct, the most realistic and the most urgent issues of interests mostly concerned by the employees and provide them with inclusive, normalized and accurate services with the characteristics of the Labor Union.

Yang Fei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and chairman of the Labor Union of the company, made a report on the work of the Labor Union titled "Give Full Play to the Advantages of the Labor Union, Concentrate the Magnificent Strength and Contribute to All-round High-quality Development of the Company".

The meeting reviewed main accomplishments since the last meeting of the member congress: First, new results in leading by ideology. Second, new achievements in labor competition. Third, new results in innovation and creating profit. Fourth, new highlights of the training and competition. Fifth, new progress in caring for and helping people in difficulties. Sixth, normalized work on rights safeguarding. Seventh, new image of the Labor Union organizations.

The meeting determined the "one, two, three, four and five" work targets and tasks of the Labor Union in the next five years, and stressed that we should grasp "one carrier". Taking the theme labor competition of "upholding ownership, contributing to the new era and striving for the first-class" as the main carrier, carry out various kinds of labor competitions in depth with focus on creating first-class development, first-class performance and first-class quality.

We should strengthen the building of “two teams”. Work hard to build a high-quality professional Labor Union cadre team with high political quality, high professional ability, good at Labor Union work, loyal to the Party's Labor Union cause and serving the employees wholeheartedly; build a high-quality employees team that implement the Party’s instructions, follow the Party, has the ideal and the faith, has technical knowledge and is good at innovation, undertake responsibility bravely and is dedicated to work.

We should build "three fronts". Give full play to the platform role of the Model Worker Innovation Studio and the Employee Technical Innovation Studio, and create the practical training front, technical innovation front and cultural heritage front of the employees.

We should improve the "four environments". Focus on improving work, life, learning and cultural environments of the employees, and work hard to create a green and fresh working environment, a cozy and harmonious living environment, a healthy and vigorous learning environment and an elegant cultural environment.

We should create " five homes". Deepen ideological education and create a "home of loyalty"; deepen innovation and profitability improvement, and create a "home of innovation"; deepen democratic management and create a "home of harmony"; deepen inclusive help and create a "home of warmth"; deepen cultural and sports activities and create a "home of vitality".

According to the meeting agenda, the participants were divided into seven groups for group discussions.

The meeting reviewed and approved the work report and financial report of the fourth congress of FPCL Labor Union and the second congress of FREP Labor Union, approved the work report of the fourth Fund Review Committee of FPCL Labor Union and the second Fund Review Committee of FREP Labor Union, and elected the new members of the "two congresses" of the company.

The meeting successfully completed the agenda and concluded in the solemn Internationale.

At the first plenary meeting of the new "two congresses" of FPCL Labor Union, Yang Fei was elected as chairman of the Labor Union, Zheng Yaoming as vice chairman and Liu Jiangwen as the director of the Fund Review Committee.
