At the beginning of the New Year, good news came from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions on Jan. 4. FREP’s “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” was awarded as “National Demonstration Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio”. This was also the full recognition and praise the studio once again won from the superior organization after being named as “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” by Fujian Federation of Trade Unions in 2015.

The “National Demonstration Model Worker Innovation Studio” selection activity was organized by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, aiming at deepening the creation of model worker and craftsman innovation studios, giving full play to the functions of demonstration and leading, pooling wisdom and innovation, collaborative research, inheriting skills and cultivating spirit of the studio, and encouraging all employees to be diligent in creation and brave in struggle, and strive to create new achievements and show new accomplishments in the new era and new journey. It is learned that the All-China Federation of Trade Unions named 100 studios as the third batch of national demonstration model worker and craftsman innovation studios, and three of them were selected from Fujian Province, and “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” ranked first in Fujian Province.

 “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” was established in November 2013, the studio consists of four discipline groups, including instrument discipline group, static equipment comprehensive maintenance discipline group, electrical discipline group and rotating equipment discipline group, with a total of 70 members. Among them, there are 2 experts enjoying special allowance from the State Council, 2 company-level experts, 4 senior engineers, 10 senior technicians, 28 engineers, 12 technicians and 12 technical backbones. The studio obtained a total of 4 utility model patents.

Since the establishment of “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio”, more and more technical and skilled talents have gathered around the model worker to absorb nutrition and find motivation, the model worker innovation studio has been regarded as a classroom for learning from model worker, an arena for exchanging skills, a platform for technological innovation and a stage for displaying elegant demeanor. The effect brought by the model worker innovation studio not only promotes the company’s technological innovation and progress, but more importantly, it stimulates the enthusiasm of employees to strive to be model workers and actively participate in technological innovation, which has become a valuable asset to promote the innovation and development of the company.

All discipline groups of “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” actively carried out innovation and profitability creation activities based on their discipline advantages. From 2017 to 2019, a total of 25 innovation and profitability creation achievements received provincial-level prizes. Among them, in the “Five Small Innovation Competition of Fujian Province” in 2017, 3 projects won prizes; in the “Five Small Innovation Competition of Fujian Province” in 2018, 10 projects won prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 7 third prizes; in the “Five Small Innovation Competition of Fujian Province” in 2019, 12 projects won prizes, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 8 third prizes.

In recent years, the hands-on training base of Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio has emerged: Zhang Zhaohong, Craftsman of Fujian Province; Zhang Ping, Sinopec Model Worker; Li Yan, Craftsman of Quangang District; Liu Qianhong, winner of the third prize of Fujian Digital Instrument and Control Skills Competition; Liu Xiaolong, Gold Worker in Quangang District; Liu Xiaolong, Liu Qianhong and Chen Weijian, professional and technical experts in Quangang District; 12 pacesetters in Quangang District in 2019.

As the company’s first model worker innovation studio, Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio leads, radiates and drives the work of other innovation studios in the company, including Huang Xiaobin Model Worker Safety Innovation Studio, Wu Liangjiang Employee Innovation Studio and the company’s technology innovation studio, forming an innovation alliance for development.

In the future, “Zhang Zhaohong Model Worker Innovation Studio” will unite the team with the spirit of model worker and craftsmen, further promote the vigorous development of the company’s scientific and technological innovation activity, unite and attract more talents to participate in this activity, and make new and greater contributions to building a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness.
