The Company Held 2020 New Employees Welcome Meeting


In mid-summer, all living things grow. In the good time, dreams come true. On the afternoon of August 4, the company held a welcome meeting for new employees of 2020 in the Science &Technology Hall.

Vice President Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of the company Party Committee, Secretary of the company Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of the company Labor Union, and Vice President Zhao Tianxing, attended the new employees welcome meeting. Responsible people of Process Department, Mechanical Department, HR & Admin Department, Party & Union Department and other departments, and 102 new hires attended the welcome meeting.

In his speech, Nouraddin A. Yousuf congratulated the new employees of 2020 on choosing FREP. He said that as a large-scale Sino-foreign joint venture, FREP leveraged and integrated advanced management experience and concepts from the Chinese and foreign shareholders and formed the best management mode of the joint venture. The company's vision was to be a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness. Joining the company is a good learning opportunity for the new hires. He said that working here would be pleasant and happy. In daily work and life, he hoped the new hires have the spirit of patience. Facing boring work, patience and perseverance are important, so as to clearly understand the nature of things, continuously work hard, demonstrate talents and finally be succeed. He encouraged everyone to lay a solid foundation, practice hard to master solid skills, and grasp the chance to realize their ideals and aspirations during the development of the company.

Yang Hongbin put forward his hopes and requirements for the new employees in three aspects. First, integrate into the company and grow smoothly. We should deeply understand and identify with the culture of the company, clearly realize the importance of values, deeply study the culture of the company, enhance the sense of pride, guide thoughts and actions with correct values and methodology, deeply practice the culture of the company, make joint efforts and grow together with the company. Second, study hard and improve capability. New employees should respect masters, study with an open mind, work hard, speed up growth, be grateful, focus on targets, have a strong will power, concentrate energy, and stick to the posts to achieve high level, high capability and significant effects. Third, we should bear our ideals and faith firmly in mind. The new employees should arm their minds with Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, strengthen their ideals and faith, set high aspirations, do great things, and shoulder heavy responsibilities in their posts, realize values and grow together with the company.

Zhao Tianxing put forward expectations for the new employees. First, learn to behave. Change the identity from student to employee, and always be reverent and grateful to people and work. Second, learn to work. We should strive for "want to work, capable of work, learn to work, work bravely, and get work done flawlessly". We should fully carry forward the company spirit of "teamwork and pursuit of excellence". Only when the team members motivated each other and made progress together could we jointly promote the development of the company; Third, we should respect the system. Because of the high temperature, high pressure, flammable and explosive characteristics of petrochemical production of the company, more attention should be paid to safety and environmental protection. We should earnestly abide by the rules and regulations. We should be in awe of the responsibilities, disciplines and systems of the company, and we must be in awe of our work.

At the meeting, responsible people of relevant departments put forward hopes and requirements for new employees, and the responsible people of HR & Admin Department introduced the induction training plan and talent succession strategy.

At the welcome meeting, Qin Qingling, a graduate with master degree of Sichuan University and a new employee of Polyolefin Business Team in 2019, and Tang Mingjie, a graduate of Southwest Petroleum University and a new employee of Offsites Business Team in 2019, shared their experience and feelings in the company, vividly explained the importance of hard work and commitment, and called on new employees to do the most to improve professional skills and work capability.

With a video feature film titled "To Youth", this new graduates introduced themselves with passion and expressed their desire to join the big family of FREP and contribute to the rapid development of the company.

It is reported that the 102 new graduates of 2020 were from Tianjin University, Xiamen University, University of International Business and Economics, China University of Petroleum, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Fuzhou University, Changzhou University, Guangdong Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Industry, Lanzhou Petrochemical Polytechnic College and other colleges and universities, and their arrival injected fresh blood and strength into the development of the company.
