The Party Committee of the Company Held the Celebration Meeting to Celebrate the 99th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC and “One-Advanced and Two-Outstanding” Commendation Meeting

On the afternoon of June 29th, the Party Committee of the Company Held the Celebration Meeting to Celebrate the 99th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC and “One-Advanced and Two-Outstanding” Commendation Meeting.

The meeting implemented the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC and the spirit of the Sinopec Group’s meeting on strengthening the Party’s political construction, reviewed the glorious history of the Party, commended the advanced collectives and outstanding individuals who made outstanding contributions to the production, operation, development and construction of the company, and mobilized and called on Party organizations at all levels and all Party members to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, consolidate and deepen the achievements of “Remaining True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” themed education, promote the continuous improvement of the Party building quality of the company, and inspire the enthusiasm and passion of all Party members and the masses to take initiatives, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of the company in the new era.

Gu Yuefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, delivered a themed Party class report. Liu Xiangdong, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of the company, presided over the meeting. Yang Hongbin, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, conveyed the spirit of Sinopec Group’s meeting on strengthening the Party’s political construction, announced the company’s advanced collectives and outstanding individuals that were commended by the Leading Party Members’ Group of Sinopec Group, and read out the commendation decision of the Party Committee of the company. Company management Hu Hongye and Zhao Tianxing attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Gu Yuefeng delivered a Party class report themed with “fully recognizing the superiority of the socialism system with Chinese characteristics, inheriting the Party’s fine traditions and excellent styles, and uniting efforts in high-quality development”.

Gu Yuefeng reviewed the glorious history of our Party in the past 99 years, analyzed the great staged victory that our Party led the people of all ethnic groups in the fight against the COVID-19, and guided Party members and cadres to strengthen the confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the comparative analysis of the performance and effectiveness in the fight against the COVID-19 between China and the West.

Gu Yuefeng commented that all Party members and masses should fully recognize the superiority of the socialism system with Chinese characteristics, thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’ s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, insist in true learning, faith and application, constantly strengthen consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, uphold the leadership core, and keep in alignment; always fortify confidence in the socialist path, theories, system and culture with Chinese characteristics; resolutely uphold General Secretary X Jinping’s core position in both the Party Central Committee and the Party as a whole and the Party Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership; and strive to be faithful practitioners of the Party’s innovative theory.

Gu Yuefeng emphasized that all Party members and cadres should take their responsibilities and maintain their dedication, take the concrete practice of safeguarding national interests and revitalizing enterprise development as our “battlefield”, take the initiative to play a vanguard and exemplary role in hard jobs, front-line jobs and jobs with complicated and strenuous situations, face and solve problems in a practical and realistic way, unite the masses, open up the work situation, do a good job, and interpret loyalty and faith to the Party with actual achievements.

Gu Yuefeng demanded that all Party members and cadres and employees at all levels should unite the efforts in high-quality development. We should continue to study and implement Xi Jinping’ s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, together with the spirit of the speech given by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he visited the company during his work in Fujian and the spirit of congratulation message on the completion and operation of Fujian Refining and Ethylene Integration Project, so as to ensure that all work moves forward in the right direction, keep a close eye on the targets and tasks, overcome the impact of the epidemic, deepen the action of meeting the challenges, and achieve a good ending of the “13th Five-Year Plan” with outstanding achievements.

Liu Xiangdong demanded that the grass-roots Party organizations of all levels should conscientiously convey, study and implement the spirit of this meeting, and practically unify their thoughts and actions to the decisions and arrangements of the company and the Party Committee of the company. Deliberate, plot and promote the Party building work against the backdrop of realizing the high-quality development of the company in the new era, strengthen the Party’s leadership and construction in all directions, further improve the quality of the Party’s political construction, vigorously promote the deep integration of the Party building work and the production and operation central work, and strive to complete the company’s annual targets and tasks, so as to lay a solid foundation for the company’s high-quality development to a new level in the new era, and prepare for the successful convening of the Party congress of the company with outstanding achievements.
