On the afternoon of June 29th, a delegation headed by Joost Emmen, President of the company, visited Fujian Development and Reform Commission in Fuzhou. Zhang Canmin, Director of Fujian Development and Reform Commission, and other leaders in charge warmly received President Joost Emmen and the delegation, and held a forum for communication and exchange of the progress of FREP Master Plan and the work that needs governmental coordination.

Joost Emmen first thanked Director Zhang Canmin for his concern and strong support for FREP’s 1.2 MTA Steam Cracker and Downstream Derivatives Project. He said that FREP, Quangang District and Fujian Development and Reform Commission shared the same vision, and would jointly help the construction of Meizhou Bay Petrochemical Base, build it into a world-class petrochemical industry center, and work together to develop the petrochemical industry in Fujian Province, promote local economic development and benefit the people of Fujian.

Zhang Canmin said that he knew well the projects in FREP Master Plan, and building a new steam cracker on the basis of remaining refining capacity unchanged met the requirements of the national industrial policy, and introducing advanced technologies and competitive products from the shareholders was very promising for the outlook of the project and would continue to support the promotion of the project.
