The Company Held the Employee Communication Meeting of the 2nd Quarter
In view of the current pandemic situation, the company held two sessions of employee communication meeting of 2Q 2020 through video conference respectively in Quangang and Quanzhou from May 20 to May 21.
At the meeting, it summarized and reviewed the work of the company from January to April 2020, reviewed the progress of profit improvement and the actions for the “100-Day Challenges”, analyzed current internal and external situations and the challenges for improving profitability, reached consensus on the actions for next step and key tasks, mobilized all employees to stay sober-minded, work solidly on each post, and complete the annual targets and tasks in an all-round way, so as to lay a strong foundation for a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness.
The company management, Gu Yuefeng, Joost Emmen, Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Yang Hongbin, Lin Xu and Zhao Tianxing, attended the meeting. General managers and deputy general managers of departments, business team and group managers and employee representatives attended the meeting. Vice president Nouraddin A. Yousuf chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, president Joost Emmen reviewed the performance of Jan. to Apr. 2020, the pandemic prevention and control, safety and profitability, safety incidents in 2020 and the progress of safety improvement plan. He analyzed the highlights, problems and gaps, and deployed the plan for next step. He commented that, in view of the impact of the pandemic, we should face the challenges and difficulties bravely, and identify the positive and favorable factors and strengthen our confidence at the same time. He stressed that solid progress should be made in the key focus areas such as HSSE, reliability, operation optimization and margin, market exploration and sales increase, and efficiency development, and work hard on both pandemic prevention/ control and production/operation.
Vice president Lin Xu made a special report on profit review and the action of “100-Day Challenges”.
At the meeting, the company management answered the questions of the employee representatives in the aspects of spare parts inventory, SWB, staffing, product research and development, and promotion of positive energy.
At the meeting, Polyolefin shared pallet delivery work group, FREP Master Plan studay work group, the project team for adding vapor recovery facilities were awarded as the “Outstanding Group”, 10 employees, including Chen Long, Lv Zhiqiang, Xu Genyou, Xie Zeming, Feng Zhe, Lin Jiandong, Lin Jun, Zheng Xiaodan, Ye Song and Wang Xin, were awarded as the "Outstanding Individual", Six employees, including Zhang Honghe, Xu Pengjun, Liu Jiwen, Liu Yanling, Li Weiwei and Mo Ping, were awarded as the "Outstanding Individual Nominee ", and Lin Jiandong was awarded as the "Best Popularity".
At the end of the meeting, Gu Yuefeng, chairman of the company, made a summary speech. He thanked all employees for their efforts and teamwork spirit in the pandemic prevention and control, and fully affirmed Office of President of the company for working hard and effectively on pandemic prevention/ control and production/ operation.
For the next stage of work, Gu Yuefeng required that we should first summarize experience. Through summarizing the experience and learnings from the pandemic prevention and control, systematically plan for the next stage of work, work solidly for "preventing a resurgence of the outbreak at home and guarding against imported cases", work hard to sprint to the action of meeting the "100-Day Challenges", and resolutely win the two major battles of pandemic prevention/ control and production/ operation.
Second is to think seriously. During the period of fighting against the pandemic, the company organized strict preventive and control measures in a scientific way. The pandemic situation of the whole organization was stable and under control. The company insisted on working hard and effectively on pandemic prevention/ control and production/ operation, and made good progress in work resumption, stable production and project construction in an orderly and comprehensively way. The final test of pandemic prevention and control fully proved the company's employees is a reliable, competent and winning team demonstrating the spirit of unity, cooperation and overcoming difficulties. This year, the company will carry out the education activity of "My Company and Me" to guide and motivate all employees to adhere to the targets, spare no efforts, carry forward positive energy, and make contributions to the high quality development of the company in the new era.
Third, take actions. We should strengthen confidence, make concerted efforts, brave difficulties and turn the crisis into opportunities, comprehensively push the prevention and control of pandemic, the production and operation, and make every effort to complete the annual development targets and tasks.
Gu Yuefeng commented that the company is our home and its development depends on everyone. Only when we unite our mindset and make joint efforts can the company be invincible in the fierce market competition. We should work hard together to build and share the bright future of FREP.
