On May 12, Lin Baojin, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, led the responsible people of relevant authorities of Fujian Provincial Government to visit the company for safety production inspection. The company’s management Gu Yuefeng, Joost Emmen and Zhao Tianxing accompanied the inspection.

Lin Baojin and his delegation inspected the company's exhibition hall, the central control room of the new plant and the production site, inspected safety production in the field, and visited the front-line employees.

Gu Yuefeng and Joost Emmen reported the COVID-19 outbreak prevention and control measures, the resumption of work and production, safety and environmental protection, and the master plan, etc.

Lin Baojin fully affirmed the accomplishments made by FREP in fighting against the pandemic and resuming work and production, and thanked FREP for increasing production and fully ensuring the supply of raw materials for the pandemic prevention and control.

Lin Baojin commented that government authorities at each level should conscientiously implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and instructions on safety production, implement the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, firmly establish the concept of safe development, carry out extensive safety hazard identification and rectification in an all-round way, close gaps, remove hazards, and prevent occurrence of safety production incidents.

Lin Baojin required that all places should fulfill the local management responsibilities, correctly handle the relationship between safety production and economy development, complete and improve the enterprise safety production responsibility system, re-comb and re-clarify the safety responsibilities of posts at each level, and ensure that the safety management requirements are implemented in detail. We should integrate safety production into enterprises’ main responsibility, urge the owners of the enterprises to fulfill safety responsibility, complete and improve the rules and regulations of safety production, increase the investment in safety facilities and equipment, work on personnel safety training and emergency drill, practice the awareness of “safety production is weightier than Mount Tai” in every step, and take precautions and preventive measures to ensure the early detection, handling and removal of safety potential hazards.

Lin Baojin stressed that the enterprise should integrate safety production into scientific planning and layout, develop and detail work plans as soon as possible, and highlight key points, so as to ensure safety, environmental protection and sustainable development of petrochemical industry. The enterprise should intensify independent innovation, strengthen strategic cooperation with regions, enterprises and scientific research institutions, foster and develop strategic emerging industries, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of petrochemical industry.

Lin Baojin hoped that FREP would play a leading role, drive the breakthrough and improvement of local petrochemical industry chain, form regional brand advantages and build core competitiveness. Make the long-term strategic arrangements to reasonably plan the layout of petrochemical industry in the whole province.

Lin Baojin and his delegation also checked the benchmarking of key indicators of the company's production and operation, and communicated with the front-line employees to learn more information about the production process.
