On September 27, the company held the meeting to summarize the first session themed education and deploy the second session on the themed education of "Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind" to thoroughly implement the spirit of a series of important instructions issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping on themed education, and study and implement the spirit of the first session summary and second session deployment meeting of the Party Central Committee and SINOPEC Party Group’s themed education, review and summarize the first session of themed education of the company and mobilize and deploy the second session of the themed education.

Group lead Wen Zhicheng and Zhang Qiujuan, deputy group lead of the Fifth Tour Guidance Group of SINOPEC Party Group, attended the meeting, and Gu Yuefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the company, chairman of the Board of Directors and group lead of the leading group of themed education, made the summary, mobilization and deployment.

Liu Xiangdong, FPCL general manager, Deputy Secretary of the company Party Committee and deputy group lead of the leading group of the themed education, chaired the meeting and raised requirements for implementing the spirit of the meeting. Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of the company Party Committee, Secretary of the company Discipline Committee and deputy group lead of the leading group of the themed education, reported the themed meeting of democratic life of the leading group of the company Party Committee.

Huang Xinshan and Duan Xiaohui, members of the Fifth Tour Guidance Group of SINOPEC Party Group, and the company management Zhang Xiguo, Hu Hongye, Chen Feishan, Lin Xu and Zhao Tianxing attended the meeting.

Gu Yuefeng commented that under the correct leadership of SINOPEC themed education leadership group and with the care and assistance of SINOPEC Tour Guidance Group, the company Party committee takes the lead, focuses on crucial points and gradually rolls out, and links up and down together to conscientiously implement the important directive spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping, focus on fundamental tasks of the themed education, firmly grasp the general requirements, closely adhere to detailed targets, and consciously implement the four key measures, i.e., learning and education, investigation and survey, study of issues, and rectification and implementation, throughout the whole process, and advance all work of the themed education concretely and accomplish remarkable effects. Overall, the expected targets of “educate Party members and cadres, facilitate all kinds of work and substantially benefit people” have been realized.

Gu Yuefeng stressed that the second session of the themed education of the company should be carried out in the frontline Party organizations that didn’t participate in the first session, and the session should be started in September 2019 and basically completed by the end of November 2019. We should conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee, conscientiously implement the deployment and arrangements of SINOPEC Party Group and Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and take in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era as the fundamental task, implement every work effectively and concretely, ensure that the themed education is good throughout the whole process and yields actual effects and achievements, and achieve concrete results.

Gu Yuefeng required that we should raise our standard and advance the second session of the themed education with high sense of responsibility and mission. Through the themed education, we should make efforts to solve issues of Party members and cadres themselves, especially underlying mindset issues. Put The Party's Mass Viewpoint and Line into practice to push the construction of first-class model enterprise integrating refining and petrochemical industries and solve difficulties and issues for the employees and to push the joint development of employees and the enterprise.

Second, we should earnestly guarantee concrete implementation to ensure that the second session of the themed education achieves the desired targets. We should accurately grasp the key points of the second session and make good use of the experience and achievements of the first session of the themed education. Units participating in the second session should formulate implementation plans that conform to their own characteristics, adhere to the requirements of standards, grasp key points, focus on solving issues, strengthen truth-seeking and pragmatic, and comprehensively implement each task and measure of the second session of the themed education to ensure the realization of desired results.

Third, we should strengthen leadership concretely to ensure the healthy and orderly progress of the second session of the themed education. Party organization at each level should attach great importance to the work, adhere to the principles of correct direction, solid contents, target-oriented, and good organization of various tasks, specify responsibilities of the management personnel in details, strengthen supervision and guidance, ensure effective interface and linkages, insist on overall planning, give full consideration to propaganda and guidance, and facilitate the healthy and orderly advancement of the second session of the themed education.

Zhang Qiujuan fully recognized and highly appraised the first session of the themed education of the company. She believed that the company, in accordance with the requirements of SINOPEC Party Group, strengthened leadership, elaborated organization and implemented the themed education in concrete way; the company made efforts to improve ideological awareness, issue investigations, rectification and implementation, organization and leadership and achieved remarkable phased effects, accumulated work experience, and laid a good foundation for the second session of the themed education. She also put forward four requirements for consolidating and expanding the achievements of the first session and earnestly carrying out the second session of the themed education.

First, unremittingly strengthen theoretical arms and continuously study and implement Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Second, ensure effective implementation and rectifications throughout the whole process, especially special rectifications. Third, persist in taking "Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep our Mission Firmly in Mind" as an eternal and lifelong theme. Fourth, conscientiously implement the requirements of the Party Central Committee and SINOPEC Party Group and do a good job in the second session of the themed education.
